  1. Thats what I have been saying abotu him! He ahs so so so many dropped passes. Dilfer didnt mention one of the drops was a sure fire TD, and that TT only int was when his WR fell down... and it was picked instead of a first down. He doesnt turn the ball over. His running abilty helps his OL, his RBs, his WRs, they are all made better by his running ability. Cam Newton is the only other QB who can do that. He is actually a much better passer than people give him credit for and he is getting better each week. He is going to be scary good.
  2. Those first two were my picks on draft day
  3. I would pay Lebeau 20 million dollars per season if thats what it took to get him here. I'd triple the salaries of all the Steelers position coaches too. Tell him to bring his entire staff
  4. OK, so in 2 or 3 years we have to be spending super close to the cap number, and right now we are way under it. So what is our plan? Be super stingy the next few years, just to waste money on average players at the last minute, or are we going to slowly work ourselves close to the cap as the deadline [and players worth their pay] approaches. AKA I dont get why we arent going after stud FAs. We have tons of cap room we are required to spend....
  5. Knock Mayock all you want, but he would be better than our current staff altogether. Hell, I could do better with cable television, Walterfootball, and some youtube clips. The OP is right - we need a HUGE improvement in this department. I would also like to get some good coaches who can develope and get the most out of these players.
  6. Thats not putting your head down. Putting your head down is getting you back parralell to the ground. Everett was starring at the turf with his hit, just look. Harrison keeps his eyes up. He does it right - which is why he can crush people. If there was a resonable alternative to hitting hard I wouldnt be defending him, but I dont know what you expect him to do (other than just hit like a girl)
  7. Thanksfully I am not the only one who thinks this hit looked fine. Honestly I was always taught to go dobber to dobber and facemask to face mask. You also have to explode through the tackle (or I guess you could get run over for another 4 yards). Harrisons hit looks completely fine to me, and I think that the way they fine him for using near perfect techinque is what is keeping players from avoiding other, actually serious, helmet to helmet hits. Why would a player avoid illegal hits if they get fined and penalized for legal hits too? There is no other safe way to tackle, they way Harrison tackles in textbook. Its not like he is crushing his helmet into an earhole, the top of his helmey is meeting the guys facemask... where the hell do you want him to put it? His hit on Fitz last year - I still remember seeing an inch or two of blue jersey between the crown of his hat and Fitz's mask - but he was still fined. What the NFL is really doing is going after Harrison for hitting too hard. If he just softly grabbed McCoy there would have been no penalty but because he tee'd off on him he gets a suspension. I think its BS. Goodell sucks and the NFL has gotten worse and wrose since he took over.
  8. Honestly though this guy has more dropped passes than I have ever seen. Decker had 4 or 5 drops, all of which were for would-be first downs. Thomas had another 2-3 which included a sure-fire 60 yard TD. Every single game Tebow has 6+ drops. Imagine a season worth of SJ drops concetrated into each and every game - thats what its like watching these guys have balls bounce right off their chests. I have been saying the same thing lol.
  9. The REAL problem with that is who we have had putting together said draft board all those years. I dont care if you alwasy draft the top rated player on your board, if you cant rate players you are SOL. Maybin over Orakpo!?!?!?!? GRlakerfhdklfnhsldf I hate that pick
  10. When I was a kid, and the games were blacked out, my Dad used to climb on the roof and gerry rig our antenna with coat hangers so we could pick up the Syracuse feed (back before the blackouts consumed syracuse like I think they do now. I grew up on the east side of Rochester btw). That was prob 15 years ago. Now my Dad doesnt even bother to watch the team and starting last year I dont always set aside the time to watch them either. If I do have a free Sunday afternoon I try to watch the other [real] teams play. I still like coming to this site as a football fan bc it really is the best board around, hands down. I figure I'll try and stay decently close to the team hoping one day a real owner comes in and commits to winning, but I have no hope for the team with the current owner or any hope that the next owner will be a Pegula (who isnt having much success either).
  11. I went with Hightower, and although I am not a fan of taking WRs high just in general, I would love Blackmon too. I wouldnt mind seeing a Kirk Cousins in Buffalo either, but that may be a 2nd round target (kinda like Ponder was last eyar).
  12. I am just not a fan of CBs. With todays rules their job is just to stay near the WR and tackle him after he catches the ball. The all mighty Revis couldnt cover SJ last week...my point is even the best CBs in the game cant cover a guy who half the fans say isnt a 'true #1 WR' with a noodle armed, innaccurate QB throwing his way. I would rather draft positions that can still have an impact on the game, and havent been eliminated by the rule book.
  13. I read about some lawsuit being brought up that if the stadium is being supported by tax dollars then the NFL shouldnt be allowed to black out tickets. I hope there is some legal grounds to back that claim bc it would be awesome to see the blackouts go bye bye (or the city/state funded stadiums, either one)
  14. Didnt he get a 7 on the wonderilc or something? Thats like 3rd grader bad.
  15. I had a great time watching Tebow and the Broncos this week as the Bills were blacked out. I watched them last week too in the 4pm slot after electing to do housework during the Bills game. I like watching the option game and I like how Tebow plays so it has been a lot more fun than watching the Billsplay
  16. Well, Footballsfuture.com and Kffl.com both have good lists but they aren't perfect. Off the top of my head, I know Mathis, Mario Willaims, and Kiwinuka are all set to be FAs (but we know they will get resigned).
  17. Somehow Maybin went from being the biggest biitch in the league and getting pancaked by backup running abcks to sacking teh QB and winning games for the Jets. We must have the worst player development program in the league.
  18. Id rather take a 2nd or 3rd round guy. I like Kirk Cousins for one, could be e Ponder type guy who gets drafted early though
  19. Tebow made a lot of great plays today. Getting better and better. I get the feeling he is going to stick.
  20. How about Kevin Greene (the Packers current LB coach) or whoever the Steelers LB coach is.
  21. Who is out backup tackle if Hairston or Pears goes down? O yea - its our starting LG. Who is our backup G? He is currently a starting G because our original starting guard is now starting at center bc our original starting center broke his knee. We need more lineman
  22. It may not be his passing that is helping his team win, but he IS helping his team win. Watch the highlights from the SD game, when Tebow does drop back to pass he has ALL DAY to throw, but it isnt that he has an all pro OL, the SD line isnt rushing - they are all spying Tebow waiting for him to run. This helps his [worst in the league] receiving corp [who is averaging 4-5 drops a game at a minimum] get open and his OL look like superstars. Denver's running game has peaked because guess what - the outside defenders have to worry about Tebow running it on the zone reads. In essence Tebow is blocking two defenders by just being on the field, which lets McGahee run up the middle with ease. Their D is also playing better but Denver is also owning in time of possesion, which helps the D both in real life and on paper(stats). He also had some sick runs to avoid sacks that wont show up as a good play made on paper...only an incompletion. I have watched every Broncos game since Tebow was named the starter. His passing isnt great but honestly the coaching staff is hand cuffing the team by not letting him pass more in 3rd and longer than 5. Too often they have a running play go for 4 yards on a 3rd and 7 then just punt. That is why their drives tend to be short and sucky. I am not saying they would be doing any better if they let him throw - know one knows what would ahppen - but at the end of the half and the end of the games they open it up for him and he has produced. I'm just saying...
  23. you are a facotry of sadness hahaha i always liked these Cleveland videos... but i guess its sad these could be buffalo [or rochester or syracuse] too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZzgAjjuqZM&feature=related It actually looks like the same guy at the end of the first video I posted....
  24. He reminds me of Raji. Similiar size and strengths. I think he has played well this year but his numbers dont show it. I expect his numbers and play to improve next year, just like Raji's did in his second year.
