Actual heights and weights...
High Mark replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Holy crap how are people talking about taking Miller at 3? He isn’t even a 1st round talent. He is small, weak, plays with poor leverage, and terrible technique. He wont be able to generate a pass rush vrs real NFL tackles and he couldn’t play the run vrs the Big 12. The guy reminds me of Maybin in play and stature. Buddy said we need to get bigger at LB but I don’t trust him for sh*t – he didn’t follow through on any of his promises from last year. Gailey is out talking about how great he thinks Miller is in interviews. I get a terrible feeling we are going to add this guy and of course he is going to bust just like our last 10 1# picks. Man I feel like I am taking crazy pills. Can anyone else see what I see? Its not difficult for petes sake, its as obvious as a kick in the nuts. -
Actual heights and weights...

http://www.draftcountdown.com/features/SeniorBowl/reports/Weigh-In.php Here are someone elses notes. They seem to be more "in depth" yet equally creepy. Guys I have read a lot about so far this week, and who pass the eye test seem to be: Cameron Jordan DE from California 6'4⅛ 287lbs " Broad shoulders with long arms. Just BIG." - From all accounts, this guy has been dominating everyone ala BJ Raji from 2 years ago. Described as the perfect 5 tech by a few guys too. Maybe him at #3? (not in Moyock's top 5 Des but may play himself into the top 10) Phil Taylor the NG from Baylor 6'3½ 337lbs " Carries size REAL well. Big man! Not flabby at all." - not too bad for 340lbs! (not in Moyock's top 5 DTs) Brewster the OT from Indiana, 6'6'' 323lbs " Massive! Carries weight very very well." (not in Mayocks top 6 OTs, but may be playing himself into the 1st round) Gabe Carimi Wisconsin 6'7⅛ 315lbs "Large and carries weight well, but soft belly. " (4th ranked OT per Mayock) Christian Ballard DE/DT from Iowa 6'4⅛ 289lbs " Large but also athletic and rangy." (not in Moyock's top 5 DT/DEs) Luke Stocker, TE from Tenn 6'5'' 255lbs, " Big frame, solid muscles, and room to get bigger." (3rd ranked TE per Mayock) Lee Smith TE from Marshall 6'5⅞ 269lbs "Large and muscular with growth potential." - Practice notes have him as a diesel run blocker. (who?) Mark Herzlich LB from Boston College 6'3⅝ 250 " Tall, rangy, and ripped. Big chest." (not in Mayocks top 5) -
I sure hope not I think he stinks. I would much rather have someone else.

Senior Bowl rosters have lots of big names to Bills' fans
High Mark replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Reading some of the news reports coming out of the Senior Bowl, there seems to be a few names we should focus on. I personally put a lot into the senior bowl (practices more so than the actual game) because it puts everyone on a level playing field. -The DE Cameron Jordan from Cal is stealing the show Every report I have read is calling him unblockable at DE and DT and saying he is the perfect 5 tech. I never saw any Cal games but his name has always been in the 1st round in mocks and such. BJ Raji dominated the Sr bowl 2 years ago and went in the top 10. This is a guy we may see off the board at #3, or could be a great trade down option. -The other DLman is Ballard from Iowa, who was routinely overshadowed by Clayborne during his career. Multiple articles say if it werent for Jordan all the rave would be over this guy. I doubt he plays his way into the 1st but hopefully he lasts till our 3rd. I have always thought he could be a great 3 or 5 tech -Carimi has been great at LT and LG (Im not surprised they are trying him inside, I have said before I could see him projecting there in the NFL) the reports say he has been a mauler in the run game. I doubt he lasts till 34 but could be an option in a trade back scenario. - The OT Brewster from Indiana got all the accolades on day 1 but I didnt see anything about him on day two. Reports had him as the best T for that day and he measured in as a monster - 66 35 arms, and 323#s was the heaviest of the OLman. He got rave reviews and may be a late 1st rounder (or a great RT at #34!) -Lee Smith, a tight end from Marshall, is a powerful blocker. Smith ran over a series of linebackers in drills. According to Senior Bowl measurements, Smith is 6 feet 6 and 269 pounds. I like - Casey Mathews has gotten rave reviews, always going 100 mph and just flying past blockers and reading plays very quickly it was also reported he met extensively with the Patsies. We should try to land this kid he is just a great football player. - Mark Herzlich is a guy I like who I read is a massive body who moves well and that was it. Hopefully he doesnt play himself into too high a pick so we can land him in the 4th. Guys I dont like who I havent heard anything good about: -Sherrod has been described as tight in the hips and not performing too well. He may be a G prospect at the end of the week. -Costanza has had mixed reviews which surprises me bc that means he got some good reviews. I havent seen this guy play a good game once. He got owned by sub-par talent on Nevada (he barely faced Moch, Im talking about the rest of the Nevada roster) -Von Miller weighed in at only 237, I think this guy is going to be a big stink in the NFL just like Maybin they are twins in build and how they play. Worst of all a friend of mine said the Bills are really high on him… those idiots would be. -Locker looks like poop, cant complete passes or go through reads, just like he couldnt his entire college career. Man that Todd McTan is an utter maroon. -
AJ Green is available when the Bills Pick....
High Mark replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am obviously in the minority but put me in the Julio Jones is better than AJ Green" Group PS: I am so against taking AJ Green I would *almost* rather not select anyone at 3 and forfeit the pick completely. Id MUCH rather take a RT like Carimi or the TE from ND Rudolf. Both of those guys would make our offense and TEAM better than Green would - even if they arent as good as idividual players. I am tired of DBs, RBs, and WRs because they equal losing seasons without playoff berths. The two model organizations in this league over the past decade is the Pats and Steelers. They dont put an emphasis on these less important positions. What more evidence do you need than the Cardinals as of late. Great WRs, Great QB, Super bowl appearance. Lose the QB, draft in the top 5. Colts lose M Harrison, who cares, plug in the Moreman of the month, we have P Manning. Get with it OBD, this isnt a Madden Franchise . -
Very interesting comment in PFW Whispers re: Lee Evans
High Mark replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Marcus Easly should be known as Santio Holmes. The Jets gave up a 5th rounder for that superstar. I bet the Steelers would have prefered a 4th. The next time someone tells me "we cant afford to trade our draft picks bc we need to use them to rebuild" I am just gonna snap. Proven SUPERSTARS are better than 4th round draft prospects. Then maybe we actually could've ditched Evans contract, and gotten BETTER in the process! What an awesome front office we have!!! -
Wanna know why? Because I could-out draft the Bill 10 times over When a guy on a message board is a better talent evaluator then your entire scouting staff combined you are going to suck for 10+ years.

Tell me again what wins championships?
High Mark replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The best defense is a good offense. The team that runs teh ball better has the better D at the end of the day (statistically anyways). Its really not too hard to build a good team, especially with the draft picks the Bills "earn" every year. Somehow the idiots in charge F it up over and over and over. 1-Need a QB, you are lost without one. 2- Need an OL that can block for said QB. Very Rarely does a QB do anythign withour protection (Ben is the exception, not the rule) 3- great front 7. The Bills have built their team on DBs, WRs, RBs, and KRs. its no secret why they just flat out SUCK. -
The Bills have been trying their hardest to drive us fans away over the past 10-15 years. Somehow everyone here is still a total die hard, but we would all be lying if we said we are just as committed and as intense as ever. I was more “meh” about the Bills this season than any other in my life. Unless this team makes some seriously intelligent moves this offseason (like the ones I and some select others on here always say they should make) then Im sure next year will be even worse in terms wins and my and your alls involvement with the team, it’s inevitable really. I have been wanting a new Bills Jersey since 2007, but I haven’t gotten one because the Bills refuse to draft good players (see, hindsight is not 20-20 because I woulda bought one of our rookies jersey’s if they were good). The only players I would buy as of right now are K Williams, Wood, and maybe Moats, but they don’t even sell those guys jerseys and thus don’t make the cheaper-in-price-but-much-better-in-quality Chinese knock offs which is the only jerseys I will buy. That said, I bought a Tebow Jersey this year. He really is a great player to root for (Christian, good morals, hardworking, doesn’t have 9 kids, or do drugs, of rape anyone, or hang out in strip clubs, one of a few NFL players you would let babysit your kids) and extremely exciting to watch (those last 2 games of the year where more exciting than any games Buffalo has been in since that 31-0 NE thumping) Outside of being a 100% Bills fan by blood, there really isn’t a single reason to root for this debacle of a team. I cant think of one – not one. Im not saying the bills shoulda drafted Tebow here, but can they please at least give me something to root for? Draft a good player for once, like when Orakpo is sitting their kicking you in the nuts just DRAFT HIM!!!! My gosh how can I consistently root for pure idiocy and ineptitude? It really is demoralizing. Maybe they could get some new uniforms because outside of the SeaHawks ours are worst in the league. Commit the team to Buffalo by selling part of it to Kelly right now with an option to buy the rest later with a “right of first refusal”. Sign a high-profile free arent you KNOW is good. Just give us something to be happy about for once. 15 years of retarded moves have resulted in 11 years of sh****t football. Hopefully these idiots figure it out this offseason or this team is seriously going to implode this season, and their fan base is only going to continue to dwindle.
-
Im sure there is an OLman with the last name Johnson somewheres. Hopefully a guy with the first name willie too. Then we could have Johnson, Levitre, Wood, Willie, Be(a)ll(s). With "Hangman" has the primary back up.
-
No the Patriots get them all, haven't you learned anything over these alst 11 years?
-
The problem with Moch is that he simply isnt a good football player. Talk about his size/40 time all you want but he really just isnt that great.

Nix, Gailey and Whaley triple-teaming Ralph
High Mark replied to Pilsner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I still think they should confuse him to think the Draft is the wrong weekend, or just lock him in a broom closet for it. Sign FAs then tell him they were always on the team and he doesnt remember. Pump him full of some senile crazy drug if need be just dont let him ruin our football team at all cost -
1: QB- Fitz is ok at best IMO. If we want to compete for SBs for 10+ years (and I assume you all do) then we need an elite level QB. This is our top need. However, this draft doesn’t have anyone I would consider an elite level QB-to-be, so it gets shelved for a year. 2: INSDIE LB. Our OLBS are currently Moats, Merriman, Batten, Coleman, and maybe Poz in a 4-3 (he finished this season as an OLB). Our Current ILBS are Poz… and that’s it. We don’t even have a single depth player at this point. Considering we need two ILBs in a 3-4 this is a huge need. I am liking Martez Wilson if available in the 2nd. One of the NC guys be the pick in the 2nd or 3rd. 3: TE. Don’t under estimate the TE position. Every playoff team this year had a stud TE (Findley and Clark were injured but Tammy played like a seasoned Vet filing in) TE is the 3rd most important position on Offense if you ask me. They block in the running game, they block in the passing game, they are huge mismatches against slow LBs and small DBs (Donte Whitner anyone?) when running routes. Our O was just as bad as our D relative to the rest of the league, the easiest way to improve it aside from an elite QB is a stud TE. We shoulda taken Gronkowski last year like I wanted, but this should be a FA acquisition and if Buddy Chan fails to add one of the stud FAs I will be POed. 4: RT. We don’t have anything worth mentioning at this position. Our 2nd round pick could solve this turnstyle of a problem but IMO would be better off as a ILB if the value is there. FA also has some quality players. 5: C/G we need to regulate Hangman to backup. James Carpenter or John Moffit are 4th round prospects that could be penciled in as day 1 starters. Carpenter is my top choice. 6&7: OLB tied with DE. We have a lot of guys but a lot of ? too. Moats was great last year and is a hands down starter IMO. I personally have confidence in Merriman coming back strong, but we also have batten who could blossom and Coleman as a depth guy. If there are no ILBs or RTs available at 34 (there will be but lets say there aren’t) we could look to add a OLB like Houston from UGA. 6&7: DE tied with OLB. Kelsay and Carrington are our 4-3 DEs, with Stroud and Edwards as out-of-position back ups. Horrible we are. 34 we aren’t as bad but still not good. I feel this is our least area of need (especially in a 3-4) when considering our holes at other positions. Nevertheless the best 3 players in this draft are Fairley/Dareus/Bowers in no particular order. I was always good at math, and it’s a 100 guarantee we have a chance at 1 of these 3. Lets just do it.

Gailey's thoughts on the remaining QBs
High Mark replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There was an article on walterfootball.com that addressed the “an offensive HC will draft an Offensive player” draft myth. I am at work and cant look it up but Im sure you could find it easily . The article found that an offensive head coach overwhelming selected a defensive player in the 1st round and vica versa. I expect this trend to continue. -
Are safeties worth a top-5 draft pick?
High Mark replied to Orton's Arm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In general any DB picked in the top 5 is a bad pick. Obviously there are exceptions to every rule. The DB positions simply cannot affect the game like they used to because of the rule changes, and are thus less important to a team. If the guy looks like Ed Reed or Palumalo then sure he is worth it. If the CB is Neon Deon or Asumagha then sure. Eric Berry was taken at 5 this year and was prob worth the selection considering KC had built both their lines and is looking like a great player. That said, I think there are 6 DBs in the NFL who with their play would have lived up to the expectations of a top 5 pick. Reed, Palumalu, Asumagha, Revis, Charles Woodson, and Eric Berry (after 1 season I would say so). 6 players out of 128 DB starters league wide - That’s not many. In short – no DB is worth a top 5 pick in the 2011 draft (because Peterson is horribly over rated and projects to S more than CB anyways) -
I have been following this kids path since last year/his suspension. I think he could be a killer DLman in the NFL. He may not be the best fit in a 3-4 but we still don’t know what D we will be running and he could be a great penetrator in a Wade Phillips styles 34. Could be a great 3 or 5 tech in a 43 I think too. Our 2nd round pick should be high enough to land this guy. Unless there is a stud LB or RT that falls (like Martez Wilson or Carimi) he should be the pick, but I bet the Bills out think themselves with this one.

Dez Bryant was BPA.
-
No, there just arent any worth one of our picks in any round.

Am I crazy for realy wanting to get Gaither
High Mark replied to 95altima12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I also want a RT but Gaither missed this whole season and may not be ready for 2011. If he is sign me up though. -
AJ Green is available when the Bills Pick....
High Mark replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Id rather take Casey Mathews at 3. Seriously. But if the goal is to beat Revis (horribly over rated I will add) why not draft a TE? Id like to see Revis gaurd 6'6'' 250lbs. That TE could also beat the LBs/S/whoever. So I guess Ill take that Rudolf at 3. Id rather have him over green. Seriously. -
These mocks are pretty good but I do think Drafteks rankings are a bit off. I cant see Claybourne falling past our second rounder, or Casy Mathews falling to the 5th, among others. I also dont know why every mock drafter puts Paea as a NT when his skillset is nothing like an achoring NT. He is quick with a short burst and played as the end man on the LOS for Oregon St. My guess is that one person said it so everyone else repeats it without watching him play.
