Lynch was a need pick (he was actually pretty good) and whitner and McKelvin were not needs, just imaginary needs by a DB love drunk coach. None of the guys were BPA (and neither was Spiller) This FO is a load of !@#$ing sh*t. I could out draft this entire regime with ESPN3.com and some youtube videos. They are utter imbeciles and Nix is part of the problem. Sorry if the truth hurts. I too wish they were good but fact is they simply aren't. The sooner this team is in new hands the better. Obviously that means Ralph must kick the bucket, well Im waiting Ralph!

Very good point.

I am going to come out and go on the record, so if/when we do draft Green/Peterson/Miller None of those guys are the BPA. They will not be when we pick at #3. When we do draft one of those guys, I know all the lemmings will come out of the woodwork on here going “Green! BPA! AWESOME!!!” and over the course of the next few month it will become law. This is exactly what happened with Spiller. Spiller was not BPA – that was Dez Bryant. After their rookie year, it is obvious as to why. Bryant also played a position of bigger need. I am so tired of having “Spiller was BPA” getting shoved down my throat, when it was certainly not the case. Gailey says “I want a waterbug RB” Ralph says “we need excitement because we haven’t been exciting in a while” Spiller was a luxury pick, and that’s exactly what Green will be. I disagree. Mallet is certainly not a 1st round lock - I will be extremely suprised if he is drafted in the 1st. Newton prob will because of "potential" and gabbert may too. This year is a very weak class, maybe the weakest in 10 years. Much weaker at this point than the Russell/Quinn debacle. Honestly, I think Newton may be the only QB that would go before Clausen f this class were sandwiched with last years class.

Come on sports fans: Share your STATE DRAFT board!
High Mark replied to trolls_r_us's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
TX, FL, TN, AK, NV, WY… all the states with no income tax. -
Its jsut one mans opinion, but thats a pretty good write up. I see people are finally begining so see the flaws in some players games (locker, the OTs to name a few) and some good things in others (J.Jenkins, Carpenter). Its almost like I didnt see that coming!

Von Miller's potential in the NFL
High Mark replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This bet reminds me – I had a bet with someone that Maybin would play like a 5th rounder and be out of the league in 3-5 years, with less sacks than years played or something like that. I wonder who that was with? -
This is your “realistic” draft? Sorry man, but hate to break it to you Coztanza -1st rounder Phil Taylor – 2nd Rounder (Id love him with our 2nd) Sheppard – 2nd Rounder Stocker – 2nd, MAYBE 3rd Rounder Ballard – 2nd rounder All of your round 2-5 picks are more than likely going to go in the 2nd, with your 2nd rounder going in the 1st. The only one of those guys we have a legit shot at with the pick you listed in Green.

Von Miller's potential in the NFL
High Mark replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t think he will get many sacks at all. You pay me a dollar for every game he doesn’t get a sack, and ill pay you ten dollars every game he gets a minimum of 1 sack (half sacks are a push). PS games wont count because they play backups and starters only part time. I will make a lot more money than you. -
Just cut him and let him focus on his rap career. PS don’t draft Von Miller.
-
I cant believe he wasn’t more successful, I woulda NEVER seen that coming (detect sarcasm……now!)

Is Cameron Jordan the best player…
High Mark replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn’t know that about him, but I jumped on this bandwagon after the 1st Senior Bowl practices. I always noticed him in the 1st round of Mocks, but was never able to catch a Cal game this year (maybe an East Coast/West Coast thing?). I have read every article coming out of the senior bowl this week and every stinking one has said this guy is by far and away the best player there at any position – that’s a great endorsement. That’s the kind of pub BJ Raji got 2 years ago. His measurable are outstanding and he looks like a prototype 5 tech, which Buddy says we will be drafting for a 3-4. Also, I like the idea of drafting a 3-4 end that is also a 4-3 end and not a 4-3 DT if you know what I mean – that gives us more versatility. I cant wait to watch him on Sat. If I am as impressed as I think I will be, then I would be fine with him at 3. I would like to try and trade back a few picks, add another 2nd (so we can take the 6’4’’ 337# NG ripped from Baylor, who Is also a standout at the Senior Bowl) and still nab him though. With 4 great 5 tech prospects (Fairley/Dareus/Bowers/Jordan) and another great DE/OLB tweener (Quinn) I think a trade back would be ideal, so hopefully there is a partner. Carimi/Clayborne/Heyward could also be others if we move back a tad later. -
Modrak gets endorsement from RW & Buddy Nix
High Mark replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If this is true them I am scared and afraid as I don’t think we have much hope. Spiller at 9- Pre draft I didn’t think he was a 1st rounder and I was given no reason to change my mind. Troupe that high in the 2nd? Others ha him as a 4th rounder and I could see why last season., and over all the other talent (Gronkowski, Spikes, L.Houston)? Im sorry to say but that’s not very promising at all… ^ agreed. He is the director of scouting and needs to MAKE his voice heard. Its been 10 years, if he was very adament for 3 years and no one listend to him, and the players he wanted went on to be great, years 4-10 would have went much different. You sir are spot on. I was ridiculed by many people and posters on this board by calling Maybin a 3rd-4th rounder at best prior to the 2009 draft. Im no super genius by any means but his incredibly high level of suck was plain as day. Where was Modrak voicing that opinion? I don’t believe for a second that Jaruon picked Maybin, as this article leads you to believe. Maybe it wasn’t Modrak or Brandon, but if it wasn’t them it was Ralph. There is no way that they gave the final say and what was essentially veto power less than 4 months after SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING FIRING HIM. In case you forgot, the “Inner Circle Jerk” met for a couple days to discuss the firing of Dick and after much deliberation decided not to. Those same people would NOT have given him that type of reign in the draft room. That’s just common sense. This is a propaganda piece through and through. -

Von Miller's potential in the NFL
High Mark replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
College vrs NFL. Production doesnt mean much. His technique is pretty horrible, but his play vrs the run is way way worse. That Nebraska video is very telling. Thats a highlight video? Who tried to play it off like Miller "DOMINATED" the Nedraska game? Gimme a break, what is so special about this guy? He doesnt play like an NFL player plays - can you people not see it? I dont think I have EVER seen him use his hands to get off a block. I dont care how quick he is, that games doesnt work in the NFL just like CJs "just run wide" style doesnt fly either. Miller is going to be SWALLOWED up by NFL OLman just like Maybin Mayhem. How can an NFL scouting staff - people who make their career in professional football - be so freaking bad at their jobs? I just know we are gonna draft this bust to be, thats typical buffalo. Somebody shoot me now. You coulda said all that about Maybin and it woulda been true - but what did he say about his strength, techinque, and playe vrs the run. My bet is it woulda went somethign like this -
Looking at the draft order, 3 teams that like to wheel and deal pick between 9-12 in Dallas, Washington, and Minnesota. If we accepted a trade with Dallas say (who is the highest picking team of the 3), getting their 1st and 2nd for our 3rd, that gives THEM a steal of 350 points, which is equivelant to the 23rd pick in the 2nd round. Now, for the most part that trade chart is followed fairly closely. But, IMO that trade is a GREAT move for Buffalo. That extra 2nd could be a TE, OT, or LB that comes in and starts. Meanwhile the 9th pick in the draft could easily be Quinn or C. Jordan or Carimi. At the end of the day, Quinn or Jordan could actually be better than Dareus anyways! So, while trade partners are hard to find, by giving them a "steal" we may intice a team that likes to trade anyways. Thats a move I would be DYING to make if I am buddy nix.

Rules Changes to Make NFL a "Passing" League
High Mark replied to K-9's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Biggest one is the 5 yard and automatic first down illegal contact penalty. PS They keep throwing flags for hits on QBs that IMO shouldnt be illegal. The idea is to protect the QB. Well, why not just let the OL hold more? That would be a much easier, less obvious, and generally more accepted way to "save" the QB and increase scoring. I wouldnt be agaisnt that, but I AM agaisnt teh BS new hitting rules. -
Bill Cowher, Thanks?

the case for trading our 2011 1st round pick
High Mark replied to tonawandaed's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think most everyone would agree with you its finding a trade Partner Knowing the Bills drafting as I do, I would trade our #3 overall for two 5ths and a 6th. Who knows what we will do. -
Good Scouting Report on DE's in the draft
High Mark replied to box0life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These are easily the most accurate reports on all these guys I have read. I didnt see any of Ayers so I cant say one way or the other on him. I do disagree with Bowers though. I thought he disengaged extremely well and easily controls the man attempting to block him. He essentially can go wherever he wants, and plays very sound TEAM defense. He isnt super quick off the ball like Quinn, but I really think he is a prototype 5 tech. I havent seen Cameron Jordan from Cal but I am looking forward to on Saturday because the reports have him dominating the Sr bowl and being a great 5 tech prospect. I think Jordan or Quinn could be the pick if we end up trading back into the 8-12 range. -
Goodell will cut his salary to $1

Goodell blows and is truly doing everything he can to ruin the league. -
Von Miller's potential in the NFL

You got it all wrong, Im not gun shy on Miller because Maybin sucks, Im gun shy on Miller because MILLER sucks. They draw comparisons because they suck for many of the same reasons. -
Actual heights and weights...
High Mark replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Carimi is the classes best tackle bar none. That said he is a RT and actually has gotten most of his work at LG at the Senior Bowl, which he ahs done well at too I guess. I saw two games of Soldier this year and he looks like Frankenstein out there. He couldn’t bend, couldn’t move, couldn’t block. Why is he talked about as a top LT? I have no idea. I haven’t heard anything good about him at the Senior Bowl, the only thing I did hear is that Ryan Kerrigan dominated him multiple times in 1 v 1s, while until that point Kerrigan had been a HUGE disappointment. Whats that say about Soldier? The guy I am intrigued with is Brewster from Indiana. I have never seen him play but the reports have him as a massive road grader who can really move well in pass protection. Im interested to see how he does in the game and I am hoping he can be our RT at 34.
