  1. The guy was being facetious...he stated he was just trying to stir the pot. The fans in that thread seemed knowledgeable and respectful of the bills. Kudos to them.
  2. The overtime rule is dumb. First team to score should be the winner. The problem with the old rule was that they kept the kickoff play the same as in regulation. To make it fair, they should have changed it where getting the ball at the start of ot is not any more or less favourable than giving the other team the ball. For example, you win the toss and if you want the ball, you automatically start at your own 5 yard line. Or 10, or whatever is deemed to be that median area. If you don't want the ball, the other team starts with it at that same spot on their side of the field. No kickoffs, just a drive start at a set point on the field. Problem solved.
  3. Ya, man...I mean, who could forget that drop at the end of the game against Carolina this year. Or how about when Fitzpatrick threw (another) horrible late INT last year against the Colts, and Stevie DIDN'T race back and strip and recover the ball from the DB. Saying any player who plays professional football for a living isn't tough shows you either have a personal grudge, or you have no idea about the sport itself. In either case, you're completely out to lunch here, but nice try.
  4. Can't stay on the field? You do realize he hasn't missed a game until this year. How many receivers in the league can you name that have done more with such horrific qb play as he has? Here's a guy who worked his butt off to get where he is as a forgotten draft pick. He does nothing but rep buffalo in a positive light. Most importantly, he's pretty f'n good at his job. It's pretty obvious why those who don't like him feel that way. Doesn't need to be spelled out here, but luckily it's their own problem. Honestly, some of you don't deserve a winning team.
  5. Obviously. That's why I added the disclaimers. In reality, I dont think week to week momentum plays a significant role anyway. But if I was in their shoes, I'd be hard-pressed to get up for a neutral site game against a cross-conference opponent, with whom I share no history, with nothing to play for...and coming off a tough loss to a rival. Also, as I don't want to jinx the bills, they will probably lose this game in epic fashion to crush their fans yet again.
  6. Presumably the perfect result. Falcons play their hearts out only to lose a close one against a division rival. Hopefully a demoralized team coming to TO next week.
  7. I'll miss his enthusiasm more than anything. Which is an underrated aspect of the job. Can't say he was the most accurate or insightful guy though. "when you look at Ryan Fitzpatrick, you're looking at the quarterback of the buffalo bills!" That line never fails to make me chuckle.
  8. Ideal scenario: They play their starters, we beat them in a win-and-you're-in game. The following week sets up a rematch in Foxboro in the wild card round, and we beat them again!
  9. That sucks. I'll always be a fan of his. Was nothing but class here. Should still be a Bill.
  10. Seems likely your admitted disdain for flutie is clouding your judgement. It's black and white as to who was the better qb at that or any other point in their careers.
  11. Best bills name ever? Cj ah you must be joking...
  12. dude, you are completely out to lunch here...there is ample evidence here refuting your claim, and all you can say is, "you had to have watched the games" well i did, as did many others here, and he wasn't near as bad as you claim he was....more importantly, after seeing his body of work later on, i think its suffice to say, RJ would have done a lot worse
  13. yes, but couldn't they have theoretically done that? or not even run a play but rather kneel?
  14. My memory is a bit foggy from the end of the game, but according the attached link, they attempted the kick with 20 seconds left even though it was first down and the Titans had only two timeouts left. Can someone explain if that's accurate? If so, the coaching staff cost them the game by not making the final fg the last play. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/200001080oti.htm
  15. Ej checked out if a pass there folks. That wasn't a designed run.
  16. I still have hope for the guy. He is constantly beating his man downfield, but he's yet to have a ball hit him in stride like Goodwin has. Also, I like his weird TD dance. Want to see him do it more often.
  17. How about the challenge on a fumble that they didn't even recover? Or the challenge on a play that wasn't reviewable? Neither of which the great buffalo media asked him about. Not saying he's done a bad job, but there's definitely room for improvement. Especially on throwing the red flag.
  18. Kind of saddening that some of these people insinuating that Jonathan Martin is a "kitty" are probably parents. Not being confrontational isn't the same as being a "kitty". Ridiculous.
  19. He also has a really cool td dance that cbs keeps cutting from. What's up with that??
  20. You blame Stevie. I blame that hippity hop music all these kids listen to these days.
  21. I still can't believe how wide open he was. That's a pass a high school backup should have no problem making.
  22. thanks for the link i don't think its as bad as some are making it out to be...his delivery is just a bit more drawn out just amazed that a guy who seems so cool to the point of almost looking sedated can be such a beast on gameday
  23. #legendofmario (too soon?)
  24. No sir, it was a fake sneak. I remember it vividly. http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=1933949&src=desktop
  25. Ah yes...missed that. My apologies. The Seattle 'home' game last year was bad enough. How much worse could it have gotten had we had to play there? They were playing their best football at the time.
