Dareus was a great pick for the Bills. Filled a big need and was considered a blue chip prospect by pretty much everyone. I remember Mike Mayock saying he was the best player in the draft after the selection. That said, his play has been a big disappointment. Knowing what they know now, no way would the Bills draft him at #3 again. I have been critical of Nix but this pick was not his fault. Dareus can play in the NFL, he's just an average defensive tackle and not the impact player Bills nation hoped he would be.

Just imagine if Maybin, Whitner, and Puz were still on the roster. If only being a high round pick meant you can actually play! No, but we have Stevie Johnson to imitate him.

By all accounts Maybin gave good effort on the field and this is why I cannot fault the man. It wasn't his fault the Bills picked him so high. Was he supposed so say I'm undersized so don't draft me? Shame on the Bills for drafting a guy that simply was not big or strong enough to play in the NFL. Another example of predraft hype and "upside" created by the Todd McShea's of the world.

Outside of Spiller, that draft was garbage and he took nearly two years to develop. The 2013 draft however looks much more promising from the start. If Manuel becomes a legit starter it could be a home run.

There is no pretty much now way a rookie starts at Qb and takes a team to 8-8 unless he's a highly polished QB coming out of college (which he is not, unlike RG3, Luck, etc. ) or the team has a dominant defense (which the Bills are not). 8-8 will be impossible. Hello, you play to win the game.

Absolutely yes. The O-line sucked for years. Gailey used essentially the same players Jauron had and made them work. The loss of Levitre or not, I expect the O-line to have a big drop in productivity this year.
