Again, some fans are really coming up with ridiculous reasons to justify the Whitner pick. Team leader, character, and now the Michael Huff benching alert???? Come on already. I like Whitner but how many big plays has he really made? I can think of two- the big hit on Chad Johnson last year and the blocked two point conversion against Chris Chambers of Miami two years ago. That's it folks. It was a huge mistake passing Ngata and please don't try to pitifully justify it otherwise.

You can justify the selection of Whitner all you want by his leadership qualities and character, but the bottum line he was drafted too high and the Bills were foolish for passing on Ngata.

Jason Cole who authored the article has no credibility. I live in S. Florida where this guy is from, hear him on local sports talk radio, and generally snicker at his stories- all conjecture with no facts. He's known for pulling stories out of his a$$.

Letting Pat williams go was the biggest blunder of the Donahoe era. It has set us back years because those big run stuffing DT's are hard to find. Marcus Stroud is a band-aid and not the caliber player Williams is. He liked playing for the Bills but Donahoe low-balled him and thought he could be replaced using Ron Edwards.

Antoine Winfield left because he wanted to. He was tired of losing in Buffalo and wanted to go to a team that had a chance to make the playoffs. He was a great player. I remember one year he led the team in tackles. Truly amazing for a CB. He was the best CB we had for the last 20 years and he got away.

DeSean Jackson of Philly appears to be the best of a very weak WR class this year. Has James Hardy really shown anything? Same goes for Devin Thomas, Limas Sweed, and Malcolm Kelly. No wonder none were projected as 1st round picks.

I am in strong favor of renegotiating Jason Peters contract...for less money. Kudos to Ralph Wilson for standing his ground. Can you imagine the criticism of the organization if he was paid as a top 5 tackle with his performance on the field to this point. Pathetic. The guy has been average.
