  1. If any truly objective Bills fan who follows the team thinks Marshawn Lynch is "average" as you have stated, then they like yourself don't know a whole lot about the game of football. Do me a favor and go root for the Cowboys because most of their casual fans like you don't know crap about and probably never played the game.
  2. Yea, and I'm sure that those "plenty of people" wanted Frank Reich over Jim Kelly and Kenneth Davis over Thurman Thomas back in the day. Lynch's YPC is very pedestrian but #2 on your afore mentioned list accounts for that.
  3. I have no issue and agree with #1 and #2, but to say Lynch is ordinary is just silly. The guy's got skillz we, or at least everyone except you, can see. He's earned most of his yards carrying defenders on his back. Did you see that great TD run 2 days ago against Miami? Our backup QB is lousy but the same goes for about 28 other NFL teams so it carries no weight. Robert Royal is nothing more than a blocking TE which is basically all he did in Washington. If Levy and John Guy thought they could get any type of offensive production from him they were delusional or didn't scout him adequately before signing him as a free agent.
  4. Yes. Can you "coach up" James Hardy so he can be just as effective a pro as you were coming out of Clemson? If you can't help I may have to summon Charles Rodgers from Michigan State or Mike Williams from USC
  5. I don't think James Hardy could fill Perry Tuttle's shoes at this point.
  6. And by that same logic Robert Royal is a dependable tight end.
  7. Joey Porter is a punk. Donte Whitner is a terrific leader. Both run their mouths during the game but the difference is Porter backs it up and actually makes plays. Outside of tackling a receiver 10 yards in the end zone, when was the last time Whitner made a significant play.
  8. Kurt Warner picked us apart. Chad Pennington picked us apart. I don't even want to know what Brett Farve is thinking right now. Ther Bills can win this game but if not we'll be in the toilet.
  9. If Royal is the starter, just how bad are Schoumann and Fine?
  10. And on defense we should build around John McCargo. You can't control him. You can only hope to contain him.
  11. Haven't we been doing that for nearly a decade? Maybe another Mike Williams will be our reward for a 4 win season.
  12. Robert Royal should be our franchise player. You can build an entire team around him.
  13. I wouldn't say he is a big difference maker, but you make a great point about his grittiness and the fact he is taken for granted. They guy has become dependable blue-collar possession receiver.
  14. The OL has been together for a season and a half. They are not going to get any better. There is no major glaring weakness but all in all they are an average unit, and the talent will need to be upgraded in the offseason if the Bills want to be an elite team.
  15. I can't believe the Pats are 5-2. I mean they lose Brady, Harrison, and Maroney for the year and the machine keeps rolling. I continue to expect them to lose but they just keep on winning.
  16. I was at the game, and the stadium I say was about 90% full. There were some openings mostly on the upper levels. There were alot of Bills fans there which was cool. There was also alot of verbal smack from Dolphans after the game. I didn't even have the satisfaction of telling them we'd kick the crap out of them in Buffalo, knowing the 2nd game was in TO.
  17. That was a tough loss but were still 1st in the division at 5-2 people. Things look pretty good. Chad Pennington put on a riduculous performance. It just wasn't our day today. Our next two games however do become bigger and will tell alot of where we are heading. Our off-season needs are pretty obvious from this game- TE and OL. They are not glaring needs but if this team is going to be elite those positions need to be upgraded. I'm inclined to add WR to the list because Hardy is basically a decoy- he can't get seperation and doesn't know how to position himself for a catch.
  18. Whether he picks the Biils to win or not, I think as a so-called NFL insider, he adds very little and I don't find him reliable or interesting.
  19. Keith Rivers got JACKED UP.
  20. Articulate, accurate, and best post of 2008.
  21. Touche gentleman.
  22. After those drinks would Marshawn hit someone with his car, pretend he didn't notice, then drive away?
  23. I wonder what the Bills players would do in the Gas Lamp district in San Diego. Chippewa Street=Janet Reno. Gas Lamp district=Heidi Klum.
  24. Exactly. Get it jackoff??? They could have had Ngata with the 1st pick in the draft. Instead, they traded a 2nd and 3rd to get McCargo who's a bust, and then had to spend an additional 3rd and 5th rounder to get Stroud. With those extra picks I'm sure they could have found an average safety which Whitner is. Were you Matt Millen's assistant in Detroit?
  25. By your logic Marcus Stroud doesn't fit "the system" either, yet the Bills traded a 3rd and 5th round pick to get him. Again, the illogical justification perpetuates.
