First of all it is my understanding the PED thing is a two year old story. No? Also Ray Lewis gets respect from everyone on his team and expects everyone on his team to play at a high level. When is the last time you heard of a Ravens player being in trouble? I can not think of one time in the last few years, i may be wrong? I believe Ray is a direct reason for this. His team mates love him and know it is not for show. He believes what he preachers he lives it and he backs it up on and off the field.

I have said it in another thread. There will be at least one great QBin this class and probably 3-4 other solid-good qb's. Do i know which one is which, nope. It is Buddy and Whaley's job to figure out who they are. Pick him at 8 or mortgage next years draft and move up. I do not really care what anyone thinks, i mean Kiper and McShay. If they where real experts at the draft they would be working for an NFL team. Listen to guys who have been there in the war room and know how to really evaluate talent. They know it is not just about combine and numbers. Personality and work ethic, level of competition etc... Nix got Glenn in the second round because people where scared he was just a guard. He proved in his rookie year he can play LT. He will only get better and kudos to Buddy and Whaley for realizing his potential. Let's hope they can do the same thing for the QB position in this years draft.

Cut Fitz and do not bring him back at any price. His pressence on the team will cost way more than he is worth. The Bills tried and hoped he would be the one to end the drought. He was not. Too bad there is not anther Julio Jones in the draft. Jones will have a Randy Moss type career with out the drama. Everyone, including myself questioned the move by Dimitrof. But if you have a good qb, you need two good wr's and one good pass catching t.e. and you will win more than you lose. the Falcons Oline is average, running backs are average, defense is average. They made it to the NFC championship game MOSTLY because of 4 guys- Ryan, White, Jones, Gonzalez.. All very good. The rest of the team is average really.

another poster put up a position by position rating done by the entire league. Wilso was ranked in the top 10 according to the grading. I think he was a victim somewhat of a bad schemed D. Also we where accustomed to hearing his name a lot more in 2011. I do not think he had a 'bad year'. Just did not make huge plays like he did in 2011.

Look up the definition of insanity. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Fitz is done in Buffalo. If this staff even thinks about bringing Fitz back than we have our answer what the next 3-4 years will be. Same as the last 13!!!

The Super Bowl has two starting Qb's that where picked 18th and 36th. I am only pointing this out because the Bills are in a great spot at 8 to get the guy they want. They just need to get the pick right at QB. There is going to be one or two gyus from this draft that turn into legit starters in the league. Find him and take him at 8.

As for his intense outburst and speaches all you need to know is his team mates follow him. Which should tell you something. If he was a phony or did not back his talk up, do think they would? Ray Lewis turned his life around after the Buckhead murder. I suggest some of you read ' Next Man Up' by John Feinstein. Ray even elluded to it in his post game interview when saying all year they had to over come something and it was always a 'Next Man Up' mentality. The book follows the Ravens for an entire year just after they won the Super Bowl. It is a great read for any football fan. I could have cared less about the Ravens or Ray Lewis before reading the book. But it sheds a lot of light on the NFL and how it works. It also told the story of the murder. Ray was in the wrong place with the wrong people. I think that incident changed his life. he left behind his old neighborhoods way of thinking. Like not 'ratting' a guy out. He realized he saw some people commit a crime and thus it was his duty to work with authorities. he did not do so at first, because he had to realize his old way of thinking was not right. How much Ray was actually involved, no one really knows, except Ray and the other two people. personally i do not think he killed anyone. i do think he covered up his involvement at first. And tried to protect his associates. It was natural for him at first to think this way. But he finally saw that people who commit murder are not worth protecting. My two cents. Blast away.

I would not be suprised if Smith was fired. The team has a lot of talent, and I do agree he is the weak link. Dimitrof and Ryan are not the issue. The cords are not the issue. Smith has a history of making some very questionable calls late in big games. Arthur Blank is not the kind of guy to sit back and not make a move like firing Smith. But as the OP said, he would have Cowher or Gruden type guy already locked up. I think either one of those guys could also talk Tony G into coming back one more year.

He has to be thinking maybe some team will draft him in the second or third round, sight unseen from the injury. As we all know the Bills did this with Willis MCGahee. The Lattimore injury just seemed so horrible. I doubt he ever gets back to being the same back. I hope he does. The guy seems like 'one of the good ones' you want to root for. I still can not wait to see how Ogletree shows up to the combine. Love to see him weigh in at 250 and still have all the speed and agility. Than he is your pic in round one.

Now they are starting to put a staff together. I Like having an OC and/or DC with HC experience on a staff. I think it helps the new HC that has never been a HC in the NFL. He will have aguy on his staff who A. Understands what a HC has to deal with B. Can go to for advice if/when certain situations arise. Not saying i do not like the Bills moves. But having a former HC on your staff is not a bad thing. I also think Horton is a nice hire too. it woul dbe nice if the Browns and Bills became relevant again.

Guys it is really this simple- Do you want someone naive enough to fall for this? Or do you want someone who was in on it and used death to benefit them? I do not want a guy like this on my team in any round.

Here is another question which will get criticized i am sure, From the same season 2011, Fitz had about 4 good to great games. Flynn had 1. So why would you trade for Flynn? The Bills signed Fitz as a FA. If you really want Flynn, do that. I doubt highly anyone is trading for him. make him your first FA signing like you did when you signed Fitz. With the understanding he is going to be given a 'shot' at QB. But you still need to draft a guy in the first 3 rounds at qb. Give Flynn a base contract w incentives for playing time, wins, td, int, etc... The league and everyone knows the Bills want to win. IF Flynn turns out to be the best guy on the team he will start. I mean the Bills have the longest playoff drought in the league. We are turning into laughing stocks(if not there already). I do believe Brandon, Whaley, and Marrone want to show they can right the ship. An agent would know this too.

The Bama game expossed him as a 2 down lb. granted bama has an amazing Oline and was getting to him all night. But even when Te'o had opportunities to make plays he rarely did. Take the NC performance and add a little this drama into it and hopefully it was enough for the Bills not to consider him at 8.

Really? 22 is a 'kid'. This is whats wrong with our country today! I should expect someone with a picture of him to stand up for the 'kid'. Face it, if he did not go to Notre Dame, and the death of his grand mother had not happened and what we thought was the death of his gf, no one would talk about him. Yeah other than the JR Seau signing and Randy Moss deals i can not think of any others that they 'hit on' The Welker deal was a trade if my memory servers me right, and he was very young at the time. Give BB credit for seeing the Phins where not using him right and getting him. No one is perfect not even the Pats and BB. It is a legitimate question. Have you seen anything from Flynn to suggest he is not just another back up who looked good in one game? He got beat out by a rookie after signing a 26 million dollar contract. Granted Wilson was good this year. I do not think it was even close coming out of training camp who would be better. Pass on Flynn. Let the Seahawks cut him. Invite him than to camp too compete. But a trade is an act of desperation. No thanks! And yes there are guarantees in the NFL, do not be so juvenile.

Interesting point. But i also think you have to take into consideration that in college you can recruit guys and thus go out and get someone you want. You can not just get anyone you want in the pro's. I suspect you are someone who like myself has watched the Bills draft a good player namely DB's and than let them walk after initial contract. The NFL might turn into even more of a transitional league due to new draft salary slotting. I believe the Bills can and thus must re sign Byrd or Levitre. Both would be good, but Byrd is a must. Safeties like him do not come along every day. If Pettine can install a more pressing D/ blitzing, Byrd is the perfect guy to benefit with int's.
