  1. Well then, I hope they do become Pro Bowlers.
  2. I say Miami. That's where old folks go to retire.
  3. What if they all end up as Pro Bowlers? That would suck. Can you imagine all the holdouts?
  4. Of course he'll report. If he misses a single game, the Bills can go after his $5M signing bonus.
  5. Another question is whether Peters and his agent are sticking firm to their demands, i.e. saying "pay us $10M a year or Peters isn't showing up."
  6. I guess a real leg is worth $1.31M.
  7. I completely agree with this. You'll only be out a few bucks, and could save yourself hundreds. Tell the dealer to hold-off on getting in that new unit.
  8. As I've said several times, you can pass a physical and not be the player you once were, a la Takeo Spikes. Sure sports hernias usually to heal completely and leave no lasting problems, but it's not guaranteed. I think the Bills are completely right to want to see the goods before they purchase them. The problem (for me) is that I don't know what Peters is looking for in a new contract, and I don't know for sure if the Bills have said that even if Peters shows up, they won't give him a new contract this year. If Peters is asking for mad money, then I have no problem with the Bills taking their position and saying "next year." If it's the latter and Peters is looking for the average of the top-5 LT's, then I agree with Peters.
  9. And then there's this, from today:
  10. It doesn't matter who the QB is. They have no WR's, no running game (Matt Forte has done nothing this pre-season), the guy they drafted in the 1st round to start at LT is out for the season and possibly his career, and their defense is in the middle of the pack.
  11. He was also wide open in the left corner of the endzone on the first TD.
  12. Then why is Randy Moss still in the game?
  13. Wait, what do you get if they make the SB?
  14. They cut him because he's injured.
  15. Modell had to pay a relocation fee of something like $29M. And I believe the relocation fee was added between the Colts' move (1984) and the Browns' move (1996), as a deterrent to moving without a good reason.
  16. I'd like to see both back on KR and PR. The problem is that if you do that, you remove a man from blocking duties, as none of them is suited for this role. The question becomes one of whether it's more dangerous to the opponent to have 2 great returnmen on the field at the same time, or more dangerous to the returner having one less blocker?
  17. Rodney Harrison got busted for using HGH. That's the secret to their older players finding the fountain of youth.
  18. That was impressive. Seems humble as well.
  19. Have another and hit the hay.
  20. John Beck looked great last pre-season as well.
  21. True they could have played better, but saying that the Steelers' drives were killed by penalties is false. There was one penalty on the first drive, a holding penalty by Justin Hartwig, and he was holding Stroud. And that drive ended on an INT. Both of those things were caused by the defense. And Big Ben is a big and mobile guy who can, and did on that drive, make things happen on the fly. On the second there was also one penalty, a 5-yard false start (to take it from 3rd and 5 to 3rd and 10), but it wouldn't have prevented Roethlisberger from failing to complete the pass on the 3rd down. I think that Will James needs to be removed from nickel CB. And I hope that Crowell (and Peters, and Reed, for competition sake) comes back soon.
  22. http://xssports.rack111.com/billsvssteelers/ Sorry if already posted. I didn't see it.
