  1. Because of something called the franchise tag. Which the Bills can apply twice. So that means they can have him for 5 more years if they want. I suspect that Peters and Parker have told the Bills the exact amount they want in a new deal ($10-11M a year and a huge signing bonus) and not to bother talking to them until the Bills agree to it. The Bills probably told him that at that amount, he'll have to play under his old contract this year and next year he'll get it. Hence the impasse. The Bills are ready to move on without Peters, but for Peters, it's not that easy. He's already out $430K in fines. Every game he misses, he loses $190K. And if he misses even one game, the Bills will go after his $1.5M signing bonus. Peters can't afford to have that happen and will eventually have to report.
  2. I read 2 torn ligaments (PCL and LCL) in one knee.
  3. What I'm saying is that without Hardy and Parrish, the offense isn't even as good as it was last year. What I'd like to see is Steve Johnson starting opposite Evans, with Reed in the slot. Because Reed isn't a #2 WR.
  4. LOL! Del Rio reminds me of Kevin Bacon in Animal House shouting "All is well. ALL IS WELL!"
  5. Boxing has been a joke for years.
  6. I'm expecting the starting offense to look horrible no matter who the QB is. Freeney will be matched-up against Walker, Hardy and Parrish are out, and Lynch might still be gimpy.
  7. I'll be at Disney World 4 weeks from tomorrow, so I'll miss the game that Sunday ( ) since I'll be at the Magic Kingdom all day ( ).
  8. They had them last year as well.
  9. It's more of an indictment against Denver's defense. They were 5th worst in points allowed last year, and their big additions were DeWayne Robertson and Boss Bailey.
  10. The funny thing is, the guy looks no better than he did as a rookie, and he's been there 3 full seasons now. He must have some compromising pictures of Belichick to have stuck for so long. And I'd put more stock in this game than any other pre-season game. The 3rd pre-season game is the dress rehearsal for the season. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.
  11. Ngata is the best player on the Ravens. And Heap is better as well.
  12. Did you expect any different? Kind of like how Goodell swept all the Patriots cheating under the rug.
  13. True, other than scoring zero points and throwing an INT against the Bills' starting defense, Roethlisberger had a comparable game to Edwards.
  14. Will Crowell be playing this weekend or is he still out? I can't wait for him to return to the starting lineup.
  15. The biggest question I have is: who created God?
  16. Too bad the softball team blew it.
  17. Those are his career stats? Man, I was under the impression that he did more than that.
  18. No, no. It's "what a waste it is to lose one's mind." That is, if you're thinking of the quote by Dubya's intellectual equal.
  19. It was the Giants and they brought him in for a tryout, but didn't sign him. The Bills added him to their PS soon after and the rest is history.
  20. I'd put Todd Heap above McGahee easily.
  21. Exactly. You play whoever is in up next on your schedule, and if they're banged-up and that helps you win, great!
  22. Ideally Peters is re-signed to a long-term extension and Bell is eventually moved to RT and dominates there, giving the Bills a great pair of tackles. Now if they could just find a center...
  23. True. Ever see Lindsay Lohan's mugshot? This chick kind of looks like Marisa Tomei. Even without makeup.
  24. More like he's not on Buffalo's list. His career is over.
  25. Trent should have gotten rid of the ball quicker on that play.
