We knew they had 9 home games. Then, when the schedule actually came out and we saw there was no international "home" game..........I mean, that looked like a best case scenario schedule for a reigning division champ. They've blown it for want of a WR1. And hell, if Kincaid stayed healthy they are probably the 1 seed.

I used to not like turkey, because it seemed to always be such dry meat. Several years ago, I had some dark meat instead of my usual white meat only. That ended up somewhat changing my mind. The dark meat was juicier than the white meat I usually took.
-
Not counting Indy out but they struggled against Pittsburgh, the box score there doesn’t tel the whole story. Atlanta had another collapse late after pulling ahead. Were up 20-9 going into the 4th against the Chiefs and blew it. 2-4 over their next 6 is a possibility. Heck they could end up anywhere even 0-6. Don’t see it, think they split it as the team has enough talent to edge out a game but like you said, their remaining games are tough. Real chance that division could split away from them to the Jags or Texans. Jags play Titans x2, Colts x2, Jets and Broncos Texans play Colts x2, Chiefs, Cards, Raiders and Chargers. That division is anyone’s unless they revert to their play from the first third of the year.

I agree PIT is a big game for the tiebreaker purposes and the fact we already lose that with Houston, but every week is not a “must win” unless we think NE trips up a bunch. 13-4 might be the 1 seed record.
-
No Which is exactly why people are still clowning on Beane. I mean I'm not mad at the Cooks signing. It's an attempt at something but it's also a big whatever. A team at this stage in the build should not have to be dealing with this crap.
-
Most but not all schedules, you are correct. That doesn't change what I said or make it wrong. For instance, either BAL or PITT will be a division winner. The other is a WC contender. Ravens almost never sweep Pitts. Not sure if they have even done so in the Lamar era. We play Pitts. Losing to them gives them a tie breaker over us. Exactly why I said that this game could be the final nail. We are currently the last seed in the WC. 3 teams below us are 1 game away from tying our record. One has the tie breaker on us (HOU.) One we have the tie breaker over (KC.) The other we play this week. This week is a must win. Pretty much every week is.

The mismanagement of this roster for the last few season has been a cardinal sin

We hired McDermott and Beane at a time Buffalo had to be one of the least attractive jobs in the NFL. Fast forward 8-9 years into the Josh Allen era... I'm willing to bet there are highly qualified candidates willing to leave their jobs to get a chance at building around one of the NFL's Top 3 QBs in his prime. I would love to see what our options are, and I would hate to waste another season with - Another year of bad defense despite being led by a defensive minded HC - More assistant coach promotions from within - Missing on draft picks - At LEAST 1 more game lost because coaching blew it in high leverage situations - etc Can't have it anymore. We need to be leveraging the fact that these positions would be coveted by some of the best coaches and GMs in the country.
-
It's so obvious and egregious that like. I genuinely wonder if there's just some other variable or situation with Beane that we are completely unaware of. His whole perspective and approach to this has been god awful to the point of caricature. I do not know if any other GM in the league would have fumbled the whole situation as badly as him. Even dog water teams like the Raiders and Browns. It just makes no sense other than him like, not giving a ***** if we actually win a Super Bowl, which I guess at this point we have to consider is a legitimate possibility???
-
We are about to have 8 f'n WR on the team and that's gross because the bottom list of them do not play special teams. That's a cardinal sin fireable offense I will pound the table over... Coleman should have been traded.
-
Give it a shot. Veteran presence, still can motor. Put him , Palmer, Gabe, and Shakir out there and let’s go. Have to say I wish Coleman was a factor, but he must have seriously screwed the pooch in the locker room.
-
It's great if that B level talent stays healthy but clearly it hasn't here in Buffalo. Look back on Biils starters opening day compared to playoff loss and bet several of our B level isn't there in the 2nd game.
-
Yes. Maybin was a failure of the body. Keon would be a failure of the spirit. And that is far more tragic.
-
For a jet sweep? or a wr screen? that’s all Brady would use him for
-
I feel like you haven’t looked at the schedules of those around us. Not just from an “oh, they’re difficult” standpoint, because Jax aside, they all are but a lot of these teams also play each other. Houston & KC play each other KC and LA play each other LA & Houston play each other BAL & PIT play each other, twice Indy has 3 losses and every single one of their remaining games is tough
-
Does he play this week? Seems like Bills take forever to bring on new acquisitions during the season, but, we kinda need a spark on offense, which sounds weird to say being 2 weeks removed from Allen's 6 TD game. We might be putting too much into the situation while forgetting we approached the NFL's #1 defense with a ridiculously bad game plan on offense. That probably has more weight on the situation than anything else. Oh well.
-
The last time the Bills drafted in the top 20 was in 2019 with Ed Oliver. In last two drafts the Rams and Bills both had six picks in top 100. Rams at 19, 39, 83, 99 46, 90 Bills at 33, 60, 95 30, 41 and 72. I see more higher picks on Rams side. So yeah think Rams draft position helps. Yet could counter point.

Brandin Cooks' contract manouvers point to tampering
boyst replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall
My body quit on my posts long ago. And, lampy lamp lamp... Twisted my knee a tiny bit last Wednesday. Kept exercising and running. ... Pulled 65 mls synovial fluid out of it today. I'm so f'n broken. It was amazing what he put on the defense as far as pressures go. I somehow watched a lot of the all22 on the browns game where he had a ton of yards before the Bills season. Seeing how no matter what the defense did to try to bracket him and lean to cover that side was incredible. Megatron could beat you any way he wantsd, diggs raw atheltic talent and willpower, Michael irvin speed and shiftiness, but Cooper was somewhere near Irvin. I'd argue better. Cooper, I wish I could explain it better, would attack the DB at the peak of the route he chose and leveraged his speed and body to cut the route. He was a unique WR that attacked the defender when he needed to be in the spot to catch the ball. Dudes really just don't do that. -
Say what you want about Samuel, he's probably the best we got when it comes to getting 2 feet in-bounds in "gotta have it" moments (AFC championship game 4th down play last year, the juggling sideline catch a couple wks ago that I think he got hurt on, and I swear he's got one other too)
-
Shouldn't have come to this. Beane is at fault. We're not riddled with injuries to the WR corp except for Kincaid. This is about a lack of talent.
-
Certainly replaced Aaron Donald’s departure. Thankfully for them.
-
Rams CRUSHED the 3rd Round lately Kam Kinchens Kobie Turner Byron Young Josiah Stewart To go with Fiske in the 2nd and obviously Jared Verse in the 1st. Absurd defensive hit rate.

Where I think you are wrong is that the Bills can't afford to have poorly coached games. Most games look poorly coached from both sides because styles make fights and everyone is tryna do the same thing. Houston didn't coach their way to victory. They damn near got beat despite 8 sacks and 3 turnovers. And the Bills needed a Khalil Shakir facemask penalty to finish off that Tampa game that people thought was some kind of offensive "formula". It's not really a coaches league right now. Teams have never been more alike in their approaches offensively and defensively. Most games look like an intrasquad scrimmage compared to even 5 years ago. It's not an interesting look for the league, it's more fun when you have those contrasting styles........but the league has moved the game in this direction and if you are a fan of parity you can't be upset with the results. On the plus side........it's not the NBA. The NBA got homogenized years ago but being able to trade 5 years worth of picks has created a super team in OKC that is toying with the rest of the league and still has half the league's first round picks in the near future. They should probably win the next 3-4 titles.
