My wife is Lebanese and spent her summers as a kid in a mountain town outside Beirut that I can’t spell. (It was VERY different from where she grew up in rural SC.) We went on a cruise a few years ago and went to Montserrat, Spain. There is a famous monastery at the top of the giant mountain. Our priest friend had us skip the church stuff to take the incline to the very top of the mountain. We took in that cool, crisp air and she said “this is what my summers were like.” OK, now I get it.
