  1. Past hour
  2. *200 rushing yards allowed again *uncharacteristic turnovers *bad decisions on crucial downs How many times are we going to repeat these trends? I realize that this was an almost meaningless game, but in order to be truly great, you have to have the same mentality every single game.
  3. I think you're really underestimating how truly bad this core is. Teams aren't producing with these guys. The announcers are practically laughing at how bad they are at getting open on a weekly basis. This isn't to say the coaching helps. But I don't think there's any amount of "creativity" that's going to make Keon Coleman, Curtis Samuel, Elijah Moore, and Tyrell Shavers get open when they simply can't create separation against even single man coverage.
  4. No I can't take a breath. McBeane has had eight years to figure this out. I've been waiting 52 years for a title. The best QB in franchise history is being wasted. McDermott has taken a Ferrari and turned it into a Prius. This game is just another in a growing line of McDermott disasters. Team was completely unprepared yesterday and came out like it was a casual pick up game on a Saturday with a keg of beer on the sideline.
  5. I've seen enough of the McDermott era. This game was a preview of what will ultimately happen again when it matters most.
  6. I just saw the other thread "This staff doesn’t take every game seriously" after posting. That's kind of an expansion on the idea of, yeah, we are intentionally keeping things simple, directing effort to conservative and basic game planning, managing the load over the season and not giving full effort each week.
  7. I hear you, but I've seen enough offenses produce in this league with the kind of receivers we have. The Bills run the same exact pass routes just with different players in slightly different roles or starting from slightly different positions, again and again, and just hope that the pattern works against the coverage call. The only time I see a creative pass play it seems to be an outgrowth of the run game.
  8. The culture. He came to a perennially loser and now they’re a perennially winner. I’m one of the last people on this board to give McDermott credit but he deserves some for that. Obviously, it is more tied to Josh but McDermott gets some. The public heat was turned way up even before the season. It’s only gotten worse. He’s absolutely not a lock to be back. He MAY be back but this isn’t like years past. He has been crushed publicly since April. What the public was worried about has come to fruition. I think it’s more likely than not that there’s someone else handling the roster this offseason.
  9. I had 3 in my cart when I posted that on StubHub that were $96 each after fees. They weren’t very good.
  10. You don't see a lack of talent? That's crazy. The insufficient creativity is a direct result of the lack of talent. You think they're throwing a million screens to Shakir bc they aren't "creative"? No. It's because no one is getting open downfield, including Shakir, and they have to do whatever they can to get the ball in his hands. How many games do posters like you have to see of Josh running for his life around for 10+ seconds at a time, dying for someone to come open for a small window somewhere, before you admit we have a talent problem?
  11. What I see here is not just inconsistent player effort or insufficient talent but insufficient coaching capacity for creative game planning. It seems like they can put together a great game plan if they have a really long time to ramp up and focus on an opponent, but they are almost like skipping an entire week or two of opponents with very little opponent specific planning., throwing a generic script together, while either putting in less effort or starting work on a future opponent instead. Is this because there is a bottleneck and only a few people are contributing to or are overly controlling and can't keep up with the higher level game planning? Or if it's just a few, are they incapable in terms of creativity rather than time & effort. Or is it intentional to keep the offense simple throughout the regular season? Or everyone is working together and contributing but they just don't have enough talent in the building? Or is it simply humanly impossible for a finite number of people to do the perfect game plan every single week for 17 weeks in this league, so parity will always bite any team? Same thing with the run game creativity vs. pass game creativity. You can see very clearly that there is more time on task with the run game. Why can't we have an offense that does both well? It's not just the players, it's lack of time on task, scheming and practicing the pass game this year.
  12. Well we have seen McD sit a top pick at corner because he was not getting it together, you have to do what is best for the team. Beane deserves his flowers for the gems he has found in the draft, but he has had a lot of early round whiffs too. I was a bit worried that Elam would transform into a stud somewhere else.... From a recent news article, "Cowboys' decision to trade for Kaiir Elam has backfired spectacularly. A bad player playing poorly every week? Who could've seen this coming? Elam's coverage is a problem in and of itself, but I'm not sure I've seen a cornerback display worse run fits than Elam did against the Broncos. It's baffling he's made it to this point as a football player with how allergic he is to tackling. He finished the game with a 27.4 run-defense grade, per PFF. While the defensive line and linebackers had a brutal day at the office, Elam was also responsible for multiple big runs simply because he took the wrong angle. He doesn't belong on the field, but the Cowboys also didn't have any alternatives."
  13. im a sucker that thought Rex was going to be good for this team because how good he did with the Jets. It didn’t take me long to see how much of a clown that guy actually was after he got here. That dude was like a legit clown clown. I was never a Whaley fan though.
  14. Today
  15. My take is that the players, coaches and fans are completely spoiled and want the playoffs to start already. If you think it's bad at 6-3 just wait as they have a Tampa Bay team that just lost at home to New England. Then on the road to Houston, Pittsburgh then Cincy at home @ NE, @ Cleveland. Then Eagles, Jets at home. If this team continues to play like this they won't even make the playoffs.
  16. Hard Knocks, Chuck Knox, it's all the same to me
  17. Sadly, this is true. He always excelled in the scramble drill
  18. Yes... I would rather have a win over the Chiefs than the Dolphins. Both would be nice, though.
  19. Hey Colin, I enjoyed your post. Are these typos (spellcheck etc) or some new urban expressions? Is a "tub" like a haphazard pass? Is "cheeks" like saying they played like "ass" (a popular expression these days)? Thanks @colin for a chuckle amidst the gloom.
  20. Guess what... the #1 seed is also still very in reach, too. No team in the entire NFL has less than 2 losses. The Bills have 3. Getting the #1 seed would be nice, but it's not like it's a deal-breaker for winning the Super Bowl.
  21. Totally agree....this is the first year since 2000 where I didn't sign up for Sunday Ticket. I spent an enjoyable day watching my grandson play travel baseball rather than stress out over what we're going to do or not do "Bills-wise". It is exhausting and with all this said I feel really bad for Josh. He deserves so much better.
  22. I’ll never think it’s over with Allen at QB but I have no hopes for this season and I think this team needs a full reset. Too many bad contracts as much as I think McD is a good coach, I also think we need a new front office and coaching staff. It’s just getting stale. Coaches look for dawgs. McD actually coached the dawg out of Allen.
  23. but they did turnover the ball. They turned it over because they were pressing. Both fumbles were them trying to get just a yard or two more after already having solid runs. The int was Josh pressing because there was nowhere to go. Miami also turned the ball over twice. they were pressing because they were stopped all game long. Miamis turnovers didn’t matter not because you want to call them arm punts but because they controlled the game through the entire game.
  24. Not only that, but the Eagles play a more difficult schedule than we do. This is the easiest schedule we've had in years and we're still dropping a third of our games. The Eagles have yet to play their 9th game. But they have 3 wins over winning teams. We have 1. The teams they've beaten have a combined win loss record of 27-27. The combined win loss record of the teams we've beaten is 21-36. But beyond all of that, you can chalk their losses up to a bad day at the office. They have a Championship Caliber roster from top to bottom. Our roster had a major glaring flaw going into the season that has performed even worse than I expected. We're 2-3 in the last 5 games and have lost to the dredges of the league. To ignore that and the flaws of this roster and say "well we really beat up on (bad) teams and that's all I see" is beyond looking at the glass half full. It's like looking at the glass as overflowing and ignoring the liquid pouring out of the massive hole in the glass.
  25. Well, they did hit on this years draft class and FA's, also have 11 draft picks in 2026 and the most cap space. Vrabel is a great coach and McDaniels is a great OC. Vrabel got TN to the Conf Championship with the #1 seed and Derrick Henry, but couldn't seal the deal. They're not Brady/Hoodie 2.0, they haven't won anything yet.... We're not done yet either, a team like this can get in the playoffs as a WC and do some serious damage. If they win the Div then they get the Div winner schedule though, and we hopefully get an easier one.
