  1. Past hour
  2. I've read - and argued - with poster Dilan Esper, a civil rights lawyer, in other contexts. So thanks for posting him here. Is your X feed now serving up liberals too, or only liberals when they say something you happen to agree with? (I agree here too)
  3. Are you disputing my point? I said it needs to be torn down because it was a net negative in regards to recovery from Helene.
  4. i can't tell if you are trolling me with this correlation means causation garbage. Countries that have social protections were already low crime before they gave any protections, the low crime came first before anyone discussed helping them unless you are dumb enough to believe people wanted to pay murderers not to murder and thought it would work. As for the last line, violent people are poor because they poor impulse control, not poor people are violent because they don't have money. Give it some thought and it is obvious, the correlation is there for obvious reasons.
  5. He's there... driving a lawnmower and raking traps
  6. Moderately amusing! The Bee's new ownership is making progress. Very, very slowly.
  7. Taking this in another, altogether creepier, direction, someone upstream did mention that their own father was their hero...
  8. The one thing i’ll say for Hamlin if he does win…he’s one tough son of a B word mentally. Obviously with his story, clawing and scratching to make it last year, the big plays that he did have last year were huge, timely plays. The big interception against Jacksonville that brought everybody to their feet, raking the football away from Lamar in the divisional round etc, he seemed to be around the football in big moments. Def has a lot to work on his game, but if he makes it I can see why.
  9. Those Guatemalan children would be so, so much happier and healthier selling Chiclets in Tijuana.
  10. "Once in 1,000 years" meant "once in 4 decades" in the Hill Country of Texas. As the old song went, "It's a one-time thing, it just happens a lot."
  11. OK, let's train a Large Language Model. Instead of scouring Wikipedia, this one will scour Twitter/X. Then let's ask it a provocative question, like "what group is most responsible for causing pain and suffering in the world?" Then let's sit back and let it rip through all the racist and anti-semitic tweets your little corner of the internet has enabled ever since you bought it. Then let's all act shocked when AI becomes MechaHitler. Garbage in, Garbage out.
  12. I will make a big recommendation if you are going to buy a large RV based on two separate extended family members who did it. They both customized after the factory with multiple companies working on it for different things. When the problems started each company denied it was there problem, and that someone who touched it after was responsible. Try to make sure it is all one company and they have a good warranty.
  13. Man, what a great experience and HBD @Alphadawg7! Amazing story, esp chatting with Joshs mom (almost getting run over lol) and witnessing Joshs genuine personality with the kids. And yeah, word of advice, always good to have a "no kids" vaca sprinkled in each summer.. lol. I only have a 7 yr old, but def good to balance some time away/also kids can connect with the grandparents.
  14. Pioneer greats
  15. The same place flooded and killed kids before. How difficult would it be to have kids run an evacuation drill on the first day of camp?
