  2. He will never be 100% of what he was. If he can be 80% its an upgrade to our secondary. I really hope they start controlling and monitoring his reps. We need him in January and Feb more than anything.
  3. Removing 100,000 regulations is showing belief in small government. But you knew that Wait, no you didn't.
  4. Tre was playing well (finally) post-ACL right before he tore his Achilles. I hope he can approach being the player he used to be again, he just doesn’t get there quickly. I take nothing from last year, and I’m encouraged by the camp reports.
  5. No. B-Man, @JDHillFan, and the like happily slurp up anything the Trump administration tells them - despite their so-called belief in "small government."
  6. I love the fact Tre is getting back into form. Some are concerned, but he is taking the #2 spot while Mad Max recovers then learns. He is an upgrade on what we had going on last year. I agree with you 100% BUT Cook hasn't acted too normal this offseason. We all know he is getting bad advice and personally, just IMHO, he really doesn't want to be here, that is why he is being so hard core on the money aspect. IF he isn't going to be here, I am sick of players just walking. Trade and get something in return. I guess we will see.
  7. The big question is whether Cook will be willing to play week one. Nothing really matters until that point. My bet is that he holds in until sometime just before the first game - unless the deal gets done before then. The only way Cook gets moved off of the roster is if he causes an issue in the locker room. We are a ways off of that being a possibility, but it could happen. Obviously they’d want to trade him if it came to that, but no team is going to trade for him if his demands remain unreasonable. Or it would be very low or conditional compensation. Here’s hoping Beane sticks to his guns. I’d like to see him state that he will not negotiate during the season. Either a deal gets done before it starts or negotiations get tabled until after the season is over. I don’t want to see this be a distraction to the team.
  8. They always show up for the money and the year in the league. He needs to play, and he needs to play well to get a big new contract.
  9. It's amazing how people on this board still root for Russia.
  10. But he is acting like he wont' play. IF this hold in BS caries into week 1, Trade him.
  11. A shovel with a longer handle might be useful…
  12. I have never understood this line of reasoning. Why is it better to lose in an earlier round versus getting to the Super Bowl and then losing. To me, everything else being equal, going 4 and 2 in the Super Bowl is obviously better than going 4 and 0.
  13. First in 3rd grade my dad fell off the second story roof. Broke both arms. Second, I thought my daughter swallowed a coin that was stuck in her throat. She said she did, so I panicked and it was stuck as she was being weird. X Ray proved not to trust a 3 year old.
  14. Parsons is overrated. He definitely made no difference against the Bills as Cook ran all over him. That’s how you stop him and the whole league knows it. That’s why they are never able to make any noise in the post-season. Give me a TJ Watt or Myles Garrett over Parsons any day of the week. Not setting the record for highest paid defender of all time for a specialist.
  15. Melvin Gordon wishes he took the Chargers lowball offer.
  16. Let him play this year motivated, then Tag him if need be. You can’t trade him for much more than the comp pick we’d get, right? We could win it all this year, so I don’t see any reason to get rid on one of our best players right now.
  17. Players are always at a disadvantage in these negotiations but if this is a hold in, he does have leverage at this point. Shakir is the only other dependable skill player and he is hurt. In fact most of our WR room is nursing some injuries right now. I doubt the other players will hold it against Cook for saving his body for the regular season to maximize his pay day. It may bother Beane and the coaches who want the team to be as ready as possible for the regular season. Beane will not release him lol maybe he tries to trade him. Finding a trade that will keep the Bills as good as they are with Cook is going to be hard to do at this stage of the offseason. I still think it is more likely that the contract is close and so Cook doesn’t want to get injured before it is finalized.
  18. Sure, plenty going unfilled. Skills not matching up. Prices up, unemployment up, sentiment down. Stagflation Trump's tariff policy is a disaster
  19. Oliver would basically have no guarantees left and would almost certainly accept a restructured deal to increase his guarantees and lower his giant base salary. And he’s a plus player in the league. It’s not uncomplicated but for a team like Dallas that may want to sell “retooling” vs “rebuilding,” getting a good defensive player in return isn’t nothing.
  20. Why? We aren't going to give him what he wants. Next offseason it will be more, you can bet on it. Trade him, get something instead of letting him walk.
  21. I almost had to call once, around 5th grade. I was upstairs playing chess with a buddy, and I hear my sister screaming from down in the kitchen. I run downstairs to find she has started a grease fire trying to make popcorn. (This is before microwaves or Jiffy Pop, for the younger crowd.) The flames are leaping up, but I don’t panic. I run into the dining room and open the sliding glass door and use pot holders to carry this bucket of fire to the dining room and toss it into the back yard. Unfortunately, the screen door was still closed on the slider, and the fire just bounced right back at me and landed on the dining room carpet. OOPS! 😱 🔥 I opened the screen and kicked the pot-o-fire onto the back patio. The good news is it had landed on a remnant of carpet used to wipe our feet, so the doormat was ruined but the carpet was saved.
