The WR position is a disaster. Outside of that its a good oft injured roster. Luckily we have 17.

Even though Beane has done a terrible job assembling this roster we are still in the hunt for a playoff spot and have a remote chance of finishing first in the East. Meanwhile teams like Bengals, Ravens and Chiefs are almost eliminated from the playoffs yet people thought those rosters are in much better shape than ours. Could you imagine if Josh had the weapons Burrow has or we had a defense that can actually generate pressure on the QB? We are lucky we have Superman on our side but it would be nice if he had a supporting cast like the Superman has with the Justice League 😀 If we don’t win the east being the fifth seed won’t be a bad thing Pitt and Balt are terrible and as long as Cincy doesn’t end up winning that division I can see us winning a playoff game on the road.

We are just...better when we're aggressive. Yes I know that being aggressive on D means that teams get big plays on us, but when we play passive they've been drinking and dunking. The D did so much better in the second half

I guess put me in the camp that never really believed we had a problem against the Bengals in the same way. Are their receivers a tough matchup for our corners? Yes, and for EVERY other set of corners in the NFL. Tee Higgins would be a #1 on over half the NFL rosters and Chase is the 1st or 2nd best receiver in football. The Hamlin game they marched down the field, then a bit like last night so did we, but we stalled out in the redzone and were down 7-3. Then they were moving again and what happened, happened. The playoff game honestly I know it sucks to say this about a divisional playoff game but you have to throw that game out. I don't know the reason and I suspect we never fully will.... was it exhaustion after a season of upheaval? Was it the emotional impact of the same team and the Hamlin incident a few weeks before? Was it that was the true nadir of the Allen - Diggs fallout that had ripped the heart out of the locker room? Was it a combination of all that? I don't know. But there was something other than Xs and Os or execution of the gameplan that was off with the Bills that night. Every single one of them to a man had the glassy eyed look when the camera was on them. And then the following season we lost a messy, scrappy game in Cincinnati. A game neither team played that well in. That isn't to say beating the Bengals with a healthy Joe Burrow is ever easy. They were 8-0 in his last eight starts before last night. When they have him and his guys up on offense they are a tough out for anyone. But I just don't see them as being a "hurdle" the Bills have to get over in the same way as KC in the post-season. Playing the Bengals with Burrow is like playing the Ravens with Lamar. It's going to be a tough game, sometimes you will win and sometimes you will lose.

Agree with the first paragraph, I just said something similar. They need to beat the Chargers and they are still very much in play. As for the Bills, we are NOT ending up 2-2. Not in the December. 3-1 at worst. So it's the Steelers or the Ravens (or like you said the Bengals, which seems crazy but isn't). I always thought it's gonna be Ravens despite Steelers splitting with them, but the way the Ravens are playing it really looks like Pittsburgh. Lamar is not right.

Buffalo will use two tes and grind out a very tough win if we see them in the playoffs. Hopefully it's at home in the AFC championship when it's 10° and 15-20 mph winds Houston is tough though. No doubt

Yeah NYT says they have about 54% chance if they win out. And it's not impossible, they have 2 relatively easy games on the road (Titans, Raiders) and 2 tough divisional games at home (Broncos, Chargers). If they do win out, I think they actually have more than those 54%, since I am not sure how NYT takes into account Jones injury. Colts probably won't be a factor now. So in such case it comes down to the Chargers either winning W18 @Denver, or winning all other their remaining games. To sum it up, if the Chiefs win out, they get in imo. Given their state of play that's not likely though. But who trusts Chargers not to fold next week at the Arrowhead? And if that happens, things might start to look different.

All year long this has been going on. When Cook had a 10 yard run to the Bengals 20 after an int. yesterday they immediately called holding and moved the ball back to the 40. They never showed a replay, They never showed a replay of the holding penalty on the Cook reviewed fumble by the goal line either. Good thing we have Josh Allen.

In most sims I run this morning KC makes it as a 7th seed. Basically if they beat the Chargers next week they are in good shape, because there are not actually that many wildcard contenders. They have basically no chance to be better than the #7. In most situations I have the Bills going 2-2 from here it makes them the 6th seed and there is basically a 50/50 chance that is @ Houston (ugh) or @ Jacksonville (bogey team). However, if the Bills go 3-1 they are almost certainly the 5th seed. Then @ Pittsburgh is the most likely but both Baltimore and (unbelievably) Cincy are still alive. I have Cincy as an 8-9 division champ possible. Even if the Bills win out they cannot beat New England to the division unless New England loses to the Ravens AND one of the Jets / Dolphins which I just don't see.
