Outdumbing each other, Cabinet edition
4th&long replied to Thurmal34's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Behold the sheer incompetence of Trump's Cabinet https://flip.it/XUWrSD Trump wanted to surround himself with idiots. He got that one right. Hate to believe he could find people dumber than him? -
NFL films make the show. The show is a bad idea all around but not because of rogue employees being spies. the only reason Buffalo did not fight this with everything they have is because it is going to be used as a promotional tool for the new stadium and to help sell psl’s.

The season is a marathon not a sprint. Yes, beating the Ravens in Week 1 will help us on our way to get the #1 seed in the conference but as we saw last season when they kicked our buts in the regular season, what matters more is how you play in the post season.

From this chart he has some of the worst separating WR’s at the catch point.

New NFL Award, Thanks to Dion Dawkins. Protector of the Year.

I imagine the NFLPA already has suggested this be named the Gene Upshaw award, Hall of Famer, 3 rings. -
i would argue that many pundits counted us out at the beginning of last year in particular. that's kind of what i mean by 'under the radar'

Is it easier now for pro sports teams to make big comebacks late?
Augie replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
Like college basketball with the portal and NIL, they have found a way to ruin something I really enjoyed. Sorry, but I miss it. -
Of course. But Trump said he'd fix the problem really fast and easily. He's been at it for four months and so far all we have is a trade deal with one of the most corrupt countries on the planet, so I'm told. And of course we have to get this done for humanitarian reasons you know? But at 5k dead per week, apparently there's no rush? And after pledging to stop the hopeless slaughter, our big threat is to walk away from the conflict...which is a benefit to Russia and does not stop the killing... So exactly the level of bungling, aimless, strategically bankrupt diplomacy we've been practicing since 9/11 so far. But hey, maybe time will prove me wrong. I know we're preparing for the great war against China and we're all hard headed realists. So obviously there's no benefit to China's greatest ally feeding itself into a wood chipper. What we actually have to do is try and bribe Russia out of China's orbit with a combination of Ukrainian land and American trade! And what could possibly go wrong funneling investment and land to a corrupt petro-state with terminal demographics and a hatred of the West?

On the other hand, it would’ve been nice to face the juggernaut running team with Hoecht and Ogunjobi.

I agree that this is a great opener. There are still a lot of people saying the Bills should have lost the playoff game and were outplayed physically by the Ravens. I don’t agree. The Bills led that game almost the entire way (after Baltimore’s opening TD) and Buffalo RBs (not Allen) rushed 26 times for 127 yards against the vaunted Baltimore run defense. Did Lamar make a couple of mistakes? Yes. Did the TE drop a tying 2-pt conversion? Yes. But the Bills played mistake-free on offense and drove for two 4th quarter FGs to keep the Ravens at arms length. If Baltimore had tied it, the Bills still had time to go and get a winning FG of their own. It was hardly a game Baltimore “dominated” and then bungled away. I’m looking forward to the new pieces on D and how the offense will evolve further under Brady. It won’t be the end of the world if the Bills lose, and it won’t mean they’re going undefeated if they win. It will simply be a great opener between two excellent teams.
