  1. Past hour
  2. White was really not that bad. He overplayed the cushion on that one route to Robinson but the other completions on him were exactly the kind of keep it in front of you and tackle corner play this scheme demands. I think the reaction to that one play is overboard. Douglas was toast last year. I am confident we are better now.
  3. Superman turns 30 in May. McDermott and Beane have 3 seasons or so left with this kid in his prime.
  4. Really encouraging on Chase. Just because of how I was watching yesterday I didn't get the chance to really focus in on the OL. That needs my 100% concentration, but I have heard a few folks say he played well. I really struggle to imagine the Bills cutting him loose.
  5. Maybe I’m naive, but it feels odd to me to complain about 3rd down defense when there is no scheming going on. They are literally just playing a base defense to watch what guys do.
  6. I suspect that Chris Tabor is going to have a fair amount of influence on the bottom end of this roster. And with the new kickoff rules, that might include getting to choose who he wants as P/KR. Judging by today's performances only, Shanault really looked like the best option, so far. Regarding the #3 TE competition, it really didn't look like either Davidson, or Hawes had a particularly good showing as tight ends. But Davidson did have at least one good play on special teams. I wouldn't put Hawes ahead of him just yet. I would also put Hancock down for having a decent rookie showing for his first game.
  7. Get the ketchup and mustard bowling balls!!!!
  8. Agree. Think he’s a low end starter for a few teams in this league.
  9. Today
  10. My grandfather collected model trains from when he was stationed in Germany during WW2. Marklin’s were his go to. Had 100+ and quite a few Krauss’s. Hope the collection serves you well and lots of enjoyment!
  11. I don't see the logic in going backwards...
  12. Has a coach ever been fired between the first and second preseason games? This could be a first.
  13. Massive character flaws going into that process? Sure. I can see that. Whether it was resentment from the league on his fathers statements or specifically the attitude, capability or reliability he did or did not express who knows. What I can say is after watching him grade his performance moderately low and repeated statements about being there for change, playing for his teammates on top of a thankfulness for an opportunity speaks volumes to some humility he has whether shown previously or not. It’s there and was on display post game. Not the biggest fan of the style he’s inherited from his father but I can’t fault it. He’s a young kid growing up in the shadow and expectations of Deion. Wish nothing but the best for each and every person living their dream or the monotonous 9-5 grind. Shadeur Sanders included.
  14. If you’re going that route then you’d obviously want thresholds, high and low, for each position that adjust as and to the salary cap. Or you make contracts virtually performance based. Can’t see the majority of players or their agents agreeing to that. That would however be an ideal for middle ground but not reliant.
  15. I know it was the first preseason game, defensive game plan is vanilla, but the failures to hold the edge, the lack of a pass rush and the continuing 3rd down issues are items to monitor.
  16. It only bothered me as much as it did because this was the last preseason performance in the old stadium. You'd have thought that the coaching staff would have appreciated that more by being aggressive early.
  17. I'm not a Cooper fan. I disliked him his entire career ( too many drops) But the catch he made in the end zone last season 👀 I don't think anyone on the current roster comes down with that ball
  18. We all know it's only preseason, but it seems that no matter how much we draft and sign veterans on defense, we still somehow struggle with 3rd down opponent efficiency in the most crucial points of the game. I suppose Josh will have to be Josh yet again.
  19. No to Cooper. He had a couple of moments but that third round pick for relatively nothing leaves a sour taste. Douglas? Possibly but not right now. If they’re grabbing a guy off the street I’d rather they get Asante Samuel Jr. but that’s just me.
  20. I’m all for bringing in Douglas for depth and Cooper in. Samuel is useless.
  21. Wouldn’t this make rookie contracts useless except for those that underperform? Thus having a disproportionately negative effect on the teams? Surely there has to be a middle ground in the next CBA. Maybe some varying levels of performance bonuses for rookies would work.
