Since Maybin is being swallowed up by NFL tackles

Recommended Posts

This thread has me wondering... "Where'n-a-hell are all the Kelsay haters now?"

Look it up- this cat has never bashed Kelsay. I do bash this twinky Cover-2 (Florida/Dome/Weather-Friendly bottom-Fag Defensive Scheme).

Give Maybin a chance- he's a Rookie (remember?) on a poorly coached team with an offensive offense, playing within a piss-poor & umimaginitive scheme. Frankly, he ought to be utilized as a weapon/decoy... lining up in both LB & DT positions. ...but, that would required innovative coaching... something our silly little ghostly IVY League waif doesn't 'get'.

Our colleges & Universities are nothing but cesspools of Liberalism (face it)... an Ivy League branded brain... at the helm of our sinking ship... I'd rather have my mechanic coaching our team. He looks like Wade Phillips.

On that subject- I say, bring on the 'WE WANT RUSH' signs of protest on Sunday. And, there had better be a chant of 'DICK MUST GO' during Ralph's half-time blabbergaster.

PS- For you Ivy Leagqueers, I do start sentences with 'And'. ...gotta problem with that? I imagine you do... since bad verbage gets the point accrossed, whilst you're still trying to act British (Prim, proper & gay). Go brush your teeth.

Not that I am a Kelsay hater. No need for me to dwell on football much. My grandfather was a mechanic. Rush brushes his teeth? Screw Dick, he blows anyway. What's a blabbergaster?

"bottom fag" I'm not an Ivy leagQueer, yet I like that one. I can only imagine the public reaction when Henry Ford rolled out the first car that wasn't painted black. Surely the colleges and universities took a pretty good tongue lashing for that one. Granny git yer gun!!!!????!!!

lol....great post, I almost enjoyed it's relevancy.

i like the idea of moving him to linebacker, Schobel who is usually injured by this time in the season, seems strong and denney and kelsay have both been playing great too, i say bench ellison and try maybin out there, could he be worse then ellison right now??

He would have made Brady's through easier on those 2 4th quarter touchdowns that Ellison at very least. With no training camp, and making a position switch, cant see him being very much help in coverage. If he would have signed on time, and we would be playing a defense that sends a LB rushing often, then yeah, he has a shot of not being a liability on the field playing LB.

We have to switch to a 3-4 in order to compete in the afc east. Unless we practice against it day after day, we will continue to fail with this coaching staff.

or WE COULD FIRE THE COACHING STAFF!!!

We have 1 LB that's at least average, and no one to play NT (only one even capable would be better fit at end in 3-4). Very small DE's, so would have to play DTs in the end positions, benching or moving positions of 2 of highest paid players on team. 3 other division teams playing same defense with better personal and practicing every day against same defense we would play.

Yeah we could compete so much better. 4-5 years from now they maybe able to compete if do that. When they finally finish bringing in the right type personnel to play that defense, since they just about finished getting the right type of player for a cover 2 defense, with the obvious exception of lack of LB core.

how pathetic is it that this team continues to make bad pick after bad pick...any average Bills fan would have drafted better then the idiots at one bills drive have the past 5 years

The pathetic thing is when fans expect first-year DEs to make a big impact in their first year when over and over we see that even the guys who turn out to be excellent DEs simply don't look good in their first year.

It's like buying cake and being frustrated because it isn't ice cream.

We'll know if Maybin is good next year.

Its not even that. Its that too many fans want our drafted players to be Bruce Smith, Andre Reed, and Jim Kelly when they sign that contract and when they aren't we call them busts and bad picks. We need to realize how spoiled we were in the 90's to have a team like that. How many once in a generation players did we have on that team?

Only 1. Bruce Smith. There were better QBs in the NFL during Kelly's entire career. Jerry rice was the "one" from that generation. You may argue that Cornelius Bennett was a once in a generation type of linebacker, but then again there was that Lawrence guy that basically busted that theory. Thurman was a great back, but he benefited from playing on a team laden with offensive weaponry. Thurman would not have been nearly as successful if he was the primary workhorse on a run it down your throat and play killer defense type of team.

The 90s Bills had an amazing roster from top to bottom and on all sides of the ball. But it was the team that was good, not its overabundance of once in a generation players.

Geez, most of these guys have the IQ of a piece of fruit. Think about it, it is considered a HUGE deal for a lineman to move from one side of the line to the other. That's playing the EXACT same position, but going from the right side of the line to the left or visa verse. Not exactly rocket science. And you want to throw this first year kid into a completely different position altogether? Maybe work on it during the off season if it makes sense for next year, but now is probably not the time.

I though Maybin played well last game; real sweet spin move on the one RT to get to the QB. Unfortunatelty for him, Denney got there a split second earlier and got the sack and FF.

Give Maybin some time--we'll probably see some production in the second half of the season.

If the current staff gets canned in the off-season, then might be the time to have him switch to OLB in a 3-4 scheme.

I agree on both points. Its too bad that Denney was there so fast because Maybin really did set up the spin move nicely and would've had an impressive first sack. You may see him improve a little each week because he missed the entire camp

Aaron Maybin: 2 tackles.

Brian Orakpo: 13 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 pass defense.

Just sayin'.

Your talking upon deaf ears. Too many rose colored glasses being wore here. After watching the Bills since I can remember .Grew up in Buff. This team under Ralph in his last years is going NOWHERE.Yeah I`m 50. No interest in making the team better. It`s a shame. B-)

stop the nonsense

we just want our premium picks to actually stay on the field and be at least somwhat productive. The play of Wood is what Bills fans expect from a premium pick. Unfortuantely they get squat, summarized below off the top of my head:

for example

Hardy -no skill other than his height, offered no help to team desparate for #2 WR

McCargo--injured when drafted and still injured, complete bust

Lynch- -- suspended, outproduced by undrafted Jackson

POZ -injured when drafted, injured twice after, great white hope

Maybin - Bills dropped the ball in getting him to camp, little impact

Whitner - no impact plays, passed on Ngata

JP - multiple picks spent for QB without a brain- compounded by bad coaching

the list goes on

zero impact players from the draft

I think it gets compounded when the other team is buying cake in the 4th round, let's say Jared Allen and then they walk out with ice cream! After some time, you'd hope that turning up to the ice cream shop with McCargo, Flowers, Kelsay, Denney, Edwards and Schobel (all Bills front picks taken Rd 2 after 2000) that other than Schobel, someone else would have some ice cream...at least occaisonally...

I looked up the stats and Orakpo has had a sack in each of his last 3 games. He had a half-sack against Carolina, but I was watching that game and he dominated Jordan Gross a few times. Hes up to 2.5 on the year, leading all rookies.

Why can't we get Maybin on the field?
