I still haven't seen this hissy fit.

I merely was pointing out the guy is playing the role of victim AFTER THE NEWS CONFERENCE. I don't care that he didn't say anything Sunday. Fine, let's move on. But he can't do that. As Jemele Hill pointed out today "I think Terrell Owens has a persecution complex."

Since people seem to think I'm up in arms, listen to the tone of my voice when I discuss the situation on this ESPNEWS video clip of me being interviewed about it.

http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/...loggers-blitz-2

Do I sound upset? Do I sound like I'm owed something? As I mentioned to Sal Maiorana on Monday after somebody said "Too bad T.O. didn't give you anything to work with" on Sunday: He gave us plenty.

Whatever the opposite of a hissy fit is, that's what I'm throwing. Owens presents material for me to write about no matter what he does or says. People gobble it up. I couldn't be happier.

Tim, you're seriously citing Jemele Hill as a credible source?:lol::P Isn't she approaching about a half dozen suspensions for racial related overtures in her writing and such? I'm surprised she didn't write that the "white media" was attacking TO.

As GG said, meant to or not, your article came across as you being mad that TO wouldn't talk, so you stomped your foot and said "hmph, i'll show him."

Tim,

I caught the Brain Kenny show last night on 1400 ESPN Radio and much to my surprise the topic of conversation was the medias dealing with T.O. over the weekend.

B.K. wasn't the host and I could not put my finger on the voice but he agreed the media was trying to get T.O. to say something juicy enough to write and they should be "ashamed" of themselves for it. He took a 2-3 callers who all agreed that the media was trying to goad T.O. into saying something worthy of print.

Everyone has an opinion that they are entitled to but it was pretty obvious even from the media stand point that they were trying to get a rise from T.O. I should mention he also said that the answers T.O. gave were obviously the same (going with the plays that are called) and that he shouldn't take heat for not doing what the media wanted him to do.

So then I guess you should see why there was some value in quoting her. I know what her reputation is. Where you should be inserting those little laughy emoticons is that you detected the whole purpose of my point yet still didn't comprehend it.

Again, and I'll repeat for the last time. If I wanted to stomp my foot on Owens' news conference, I wouldn't have waited two days to do it. Kind of takes away the effect.

Crying victim is where the problem lies, not in his decision to clam up on Sunday.

Perhaps I didn't do a good enough job explaining that because people here can't seem to fathom the concepts are separate.

But the fact you detected my Jemele Hill reference but still failed to grasp it shows me you'll never understand where I'm coming from. Thanks for the feedback.

Hear hear on the article. Seems the only reason it was written was to defend the honor of Jerry Sullivan, and actually reinforced TO's view of the media. Like it or not, but you guys are part of his circus, and it's disingenuous for you to mock his position while you incessantly feed the airwaves every time he takes a dump. It's a two way street and there's a reason there isn't a media frenzy over Josh Reed.

Real Bills' fans don't need to hear TO's explanations of why he didn't get the ball on Sunday.

Part of the reason that there isn't a media frenzy over Josh Reed is that Josh didn't go out of his way to pitch a reality show with himself as the star and then proceed to "attend to" a beautiful real estate agent who dropped over late at night. Josh didn't call a press conference in his driveway to do sit-ups without a shirt.

T.O. is spends half of his time desperately courting media attention and the other half screaming about how unfair it is that he gets so much media attention.

TO took the podium last Sunday, with the hat, dark sunglasses and attitude, with the intention to offer up smarmy non-answers. On Wednesday, he answered questions like a pro. In neither case did he say all that much, but the delivery method was quite different. Of course, on Sunday there is a nationally-televised pre-game show in primetime - on Wednesday, there isn't.

Sunday's "TO Show" didn't have anything to do with the questions that were asked. The questions weren't exactly shocking or out-of-bounds, they related to TO's performance or his perception of the game and were questions that I have to believe most of us (Bills fans) were asking ourselves while we were watching. If the reporters hadn't asked the questions, they would've been (rightly) accused of avoiding the obvious.

The most surprising thing to me about this whole thing was how so many great, loyal Bills fans lined up so quickly and strongly with TO (the hired gun) on this - just because we share the frustration about not getting the ball enough. Fans want so badly to see TO help the Bills be relevant again - but I think the fan willingness to tolerate the "TO Show" could be a lot more understandable if we really thought that TO shared that as his primary goal.

The fan relationship/connection to TO, and how it changes (or doesn't), might be an interesting thing to observe over the next several weeks, though let's hope that the team performs well enough to overshadow it all.

Exactly. It's like if you went out and bought a really expensive sports car (Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc) and then left it parked in the garage 364.5 days of the year. And that half day you bring it out is only to give it it's yearly wash and wax.

Can you ask why Dick Jauron was hired??

He shouldn't be the coach anymore.

That said, nobody can win with this group.

Tim,

why is it many of the media types question Trent and his willingness or ability to throw the ball downfield 15-20 yards, but yet it never seems to be brought up during the press conference? Is the Buffalo media afraid to ruffle feathers? I would love to hear some difficult questions thrown at the team, but it seems like all fluff questions, unless the players name is TO.

Tim Graham, The owner is the person who created this organization and its bizaare structure and staffed it with people who are painfully inept. Bringing in Marv Levy to take over for Tom Donahoe set back the organization for years, when it already was set back for years by Tom Donahoe's quirky management. Then having Levy replaced by Russ Brandon, the marketing specialist, to take over the football operation was not only stupid, it was peculiar. The top personnel staffers in the organization are John Guy, the pro scout, and Tom Modrak, the college scout. They have been the talent scouts during the Bills "lost" decade. Why are they still on the job?

It has been very obvious to me that the most influential people in this losing organization are not the football people, but the financial people, Littman and Oberdofer. The Bills might be losers on the field, but to Ralph they are winners in the wallet game.

Until there is a change in ownership the Bills will continue to be an embarrassment to the NFL. The same situation applys to Oakland with the goofy Al Davis. Both owners are living in the past. It is a shame that the fans of western NY have to be subjected to such garbage on the field. They deserve better. :w00t:

Tim,

I heard on either Sunday Night Countdown, or NFL Blitz (espn news) that Holmgren wanted to "raise the curtain" again. Could we presume that a certain NFL team in western New York has been looking for a new head coach? Or am I being too wishful?

BTW, thank you for taking your time to answer these questions.
