Probably won't get big money on the market, but he'd be the blocking TE that he should be. Well, on second thought if he ended up in Miami or New England, but they're not that dumb. Actually, I'm pretty sad Royal is gone. I loved the way he played under pressure, with those great hands of his. Man, he saved SO many games for us with those critical first down catches. I didn’t have really high impressions of Robert Royal, but a quick look to my 2008 Pro Football Prospectus has this to say about Royal: One of the worst starters in the NFL at any position. Royal has hands like patio blocks, fumbles too many of the passes he does catch, and gets flagged too often to justify his rep as a blocking tight end. It goes on to say more, but it doesn’t get better. A look back to 2007 praises his prowess at his “wide variety of drive-killing abilities.” *some guy from the jets blog! HAHA, funny schit!
