At 8:31 p.m., this is what I see, precisely in this order: Umenyiora injured, leaves game Taylor sprains knee in Redskins' loss to Panthers Injured Texans WR Williams to have neck surgery Bucs' Cash carted off field after head-on collision Bloodied QB Palmer leaves Bengals-Saints game Ravens QB Smith misses start with viral illness I think by the time you get to "Bloodied QB Palmer..." you half expect to find out that "Ravens QB Smith misses start after being lit on fire by a trick cigar that McGahee was handing out announcing the birth of his 19th child from 17 1/2 different women." The league is simply filled with a bunch of girly whiners multi-million dollar investments nowadays. Fixed. Today's players make more in 2-3 game checks than Lott made in a season. The bonus dollars/insurance liability tied up in the current crop of 'thorobreds' has a lot to do with who plays and who sits, IMO. As with everything else, the 'meat' is worth a lot more today....
