Claton's Info on Dillon

Dillon, who asked for and received his release from the New England Patriots last week, will visit the Buffalo Bills Thursday with hopes of landing a job. The running back has been in conversations with several teams during the last week. Buffalo is his first visit.

After finding out he would get only eight to 10 carries a game with the Patriots, Dillon wanted to be released and the team granted his request. His agents have since made contact with the Jets and Eagles along with other teams, but the Bills are the first team to show viable interest.

McGahee update: Talks between the Bills and Ravens continue to heat up for Buffalo halfback Willis McGahee. McGahee, who is entering the final year of his contract and wants out, has been on the trading block for the past few weeks and the Bills are trying their best to move him. Over the past two days, the Bills had visits from Dominic Rhodes and Chris Brown and they are going to look at Dillon on Thursday. If the Ravens are going to make a trade for McGahee, they will likely get it done soon.

Dillon = Proven, aging, veteran starting back in Dillon

Rhodes = Younger, was rarely a starter, was key for Indy in the playoffs (especially the Baltimore game)

What to do, What to do

A 5'9" 203lb RB who averaged 3.7 yards a carry last year...hmmmmmmmmm, what to do, what to do.

I like this. I think this guy's got a year or two left in him, and he WANTS it. Sure, he's slowed a bit. But I think he's good for a 3.5 YPC. That's all you need.

This post is either insane or brilliant. I'm not sure which...

Subtract .1 off the ypc and those numbers will get you drafted #2 overall, with pundits screaming you should have gone #1!
