Here they go ripping JP

East Brady

Yeah except one of those two guys threw a couple of TD's.

2 TD's and an INT trumps a safety and no TD's any day.

And yet you neglect to put the numbers in perspective. A superbowl QB against a almost rookie QB who nobody has faith in. Hmmm, I'll take those numbers for the 1st game any day.

Welcome to the sport. You'll find the NFL a very exciting pasttime, and we're always glad to see someone who knows absolutely nothing about the game take the plunge and try to learn about it right away.

As the season progresses, don't be afraid to ask us questions about the game that will help you learn it more quickly.

In the meantime, it's always good to get more new fans to watch the NFL and we're glad you're here.

An almost rookie. Give it a rest. He cannot be considered an almost rookie anymore then Hocomb can. They have basically the same number of starts at this point. Hell Losmans been through 3 training camps now. Granted 2 were with meathead. But by any stretch he cannot be called a rookie anymore.

Explain how the safety was his fault?  The blitz was on and he had defenders on him before he even dropped back.

He could have dove out of the endzone with some quicker thinking.

That being said, we all saw improvement in JP yesterday. I think his grade for the game would have been an A. He had some zip on his passes, and was accurate. He was in command of the offense and made some key throws.

He has definately improved, and showed promise yesterday that can give us all a hope that he has a chance to be our future.

Hats off for a pretty good game by JP. He also should have known where he was and dove out to the 1/2 yard line.

Calling for Holcomb at this point would be moronic by anyone. Holcomb should be released and Nall should be the #2.

He's had 1/2 year playing time, yes "almost" rookie is not far fetched. If that's all you are getting from the post then you are "almost" like meathead.

An interception that was returned for a TD (should've been anyway) and a fumble that was returned for a TD. That evens things out even more.

Exactly, people still B word about Losman being inexperienced, and young, and to just give him time to develop.

Its his 3rd year in the NFL, This is do or die for him.

He still looks like an average to below average starter.

you seem to be another poster afflicted with "cranium lodged firmly inside their rectum" syndrome.

perhaps you missed the o-line get torched on the safety, and a few patsies in JP's face as he was finishing his drop back. But, to give you some credit, i probably would have missed that too if my head was as far up my ass as yours obviously was.

IMHO, anyone who watched the game should KNOW the loss was far from Losman's fault, and that the Pats would have scored more if they needed to. Yes, the safety broke the tie and was the game's final scoring, but the Pats were trying to kill the clock -not score- in the fourth quarter. Brady was doing whatever he wanted in the end, and there is no doubt in my mind that if the Bills punted instead of giving up that safety, the Pats would have scored a TD or at least FG on their possession.

Losman did a good job. He's got a lot of upside to show and will show it throughout the season. The safety? Hey it was third and 11 and he wasn't given any time whatsoever. I see it as just one of those things and can't wait for next week. The Sirius guys seem to think Buffalo is the worst team in the NFL...I wanted so much to get on the air and ask them what they thought of the "joke" draft choice of Whitner now.

Spot on. Not to mention the fact that Brady was at home, while Losman was playing through the noise. I think J.P. outplayed Brady yesterday.

Brady won, Losman lost.

Brady made plays to lead his team to victory, Losman cost his team the game with the saftey.

769634

Are you kidding me? Brady fumbled for 7 opponent points, JP was sacked for 2 opponent points. JP played better than Brady overall, although neither was stellar. More importantly neither was the key reason for a win or loss.

The Bills got beaten by a better team in a game they could have won. The run D was the biggest problem, although the O-Line cost us on two big plays (not enough protection on the safety, and getting blown up on the 4th and 1).

It is an L, and one of the most frustrating kinds, the kind that very easily could have been a W. It doesn't need to be a moral victory, because half the teams lose every week and winning the game was the goal, but it is a game we can build off of, and head down to Miami to win.

Better yet, someone should call them and point out that Bills fans know he is lying/ making it up about the KH vs. Losman crap.

Had McGee stayed in the end zone this discussion doesn't happen.

769617

Nope. McGee is too big a threat to play passive scared. When he runs it back he almost always ends up past the 20, and a lot of the time well past it. Fear that he might once in a while end up inside the 20 shouldn't be what gets us. If I recall the field position was pretty similar to NE's touchdown drive after the 4th and 1 failure by us. The difference is they moved the ball, we didn't. Tip your cap, find ways to improve, and start planning for Miami. I hope McGee comes out of the end zone every time against the Fish.

Also, JP can't be faulted for A-Train running for 18.

Each QB was in the red zone twice.

JP:

1) A-Train TD

2) WM 2yds, Shelton INC, Evans 7yds, WM 0yds

Brady:

1) TD pass after 1st and goal from the 3 thanks to two long runs by Maroney

2) Maroney 1yd, INC, touchdown to faulk (great play)

So the difference is JP going 7 yards to Evans on 3rd and 8, while Brady when 17 for the TD on 3rd and 9. Clearly a better job by Brady, and probably balances out for the fumble and the INT.

But I think having JP play about as well as Brady is a pretty good week 1, and am disappointed that run D and a failed 4th down conversion prevented what would have been a stunning upset and the absolute best learning experience and confidence boost for a young team.

It would have been nice if JP could have gotten rid of the ball or been sacked a foot closer to the line of scrimmage, but based on his total performance, I think we should be excited about heading to Miami.

Unfortunately for Losman, 15-23 and 164 doesn't cut it in some peoples eyes.

He didn't have much of a chance in the 2nd half, as the Patriots controlled the ball for most of the clock. Let's not forget that he was facing pressure all day and really did not have a chance to take many shots downfield. I am more than happy with the way that he played and I have a feeling that he is going to turn some heads next week against the Dolphins.
