Just curious. A domed stadium could be used for more than just 10 games a year. In other words, it's a stadium for MORE than just the Bills to use/own. For the Biils to stay in Buffalo they will probably need a new stadium...that I buy. Some may decide the only way to build a stadium is to make it domed, thereby increasing it's ability to be used during the winter for non-Bills events. Realistically, this will probably just take money away from HSBC and other venues, IMO. And, call me crazy (you're doing it anyway, so what the hell) but I think a domed stadium would actually hurt the Bills attendance in the long run. That's one thing I noticed from having been at Indy, Cincy, and Miami. When trying to get around, pre-game, between 1/4's haltime, and post game, you're constantly having to bob and weave your way through the crowds at RWS. Half of the experience of what makes being a Bills fan special, is freezing your butt off, screaming, and watching the opposing teams shutter in the bitter cold. While we wear no shirts, sing "Let it Snow", and take it all in. Thats what playing in Buffalo is all about. You are among the highest taxed people in the country and what do you have to show for it? A growing economy - nope. Rapidly increasing property value - nope. Higher paying jobs - nope. Top-notch infrastructure - nope. Corrupt politicians and wasted dollars - bingo. At least the taxpayers would have something to show for their money if the Bills stay in town. Buffalo is going to be a big name player soon being slightly overshadowed by NY and LA. Oh yeah, then theres the Casino and the Waterfront, and the Twin Span bridges to Fort Erie where they have the Race Track. Its only a quick drive to Erics former favorite hang out, The Sundowner. They could be the Poor mans Detroit, we just need a white rapper from Buffalos version of 8 mile to make it big and a long haired white wanna be wrapper who can't decide on a type of music to play to hype the city. If a new stadium is deemed necessary buy some pasture off the T-way west of Rochester and build it there. Or even close to Six Flags. The Bills are an integral part of the community -- I dare say much more so than most sports franchises and their communities. There are a few other examples such as Green Bay. Somebody has to pay the taxes if the franchise changes hands. It might not be worth for the other douch (Golisano) to buy the team if the market isn't there.
