Sean McDermott sounded like a complete sadsack in the postgame show.  A guy with no answers.

He also sounded like a guy with major penis envy the way he was gushing about how Houston's Defense played

For the 2nd time in 3 weeks, the bills were pushed aroundvand dominated physically by a team who wanted it more.

That is the repeated refrain of the seam McDermott era. Utterly physically dominated constantly on a weekly basis. I'm tired of it

Man I was beating the OL drum before the game, and was excited to see how they’d show up for Thursday night vs a strong defensive front. Very disappointing. Props to Houston. Before I called them very good, and I will take that back and say they were great last night.

They were thin at WR and had to try and rely on the running game, but this was blatantly obvious to anybody who can read.  Brady should have had a better plan to use play action, short passes, RPO's, etc. to at least try and keep them guessing.

How long did it take to get Cook involved in the passing game after seeing how it helped against Tampa?  No Shavers?  Ok.  Let's keep starting games with what hasn't worked.

Can anyone confirm who was calling the defense in the 1st half vs 2nd half? Because I'm hearing ppl online say McDermott let babich call the defense again in the 1st half

But who knows

They didn't target shavers once.... Not once

The direction Knox is going he gotta throw it over that defender and at this point I doubt he trusts anything he’s been hit so much.

I really think his hand was hurt so idk

To be fair he was tasked by McD & Brady with constructing a line that could run bock effectively and he has done that.  And this is another example of how the Bills roster has been deliberately constructed to take the ball out of Allen's hands in the mistaken belief that when called upon, Allen even with inferior & mismatched offensive players around him can throw a switch and play superman.  Only a defensive minded coach and GM would think that this was the best way to build a roster around a consensus top 3 QB talent.

The fact is that McD & Bean do not fundamentally understand what Allen brings to the table and how best to use his talents to win championships.  It's almost as if they're doing the exact opposite of what would work best.  It's gross  mismanagement of a roster and I can't imagine any offensive minded coach screwing this up in the way McD/Bean have.

.

I agree with the bolded...but it can't come at the price of pass protecting the best QB in the NFL.  This isn't the Eagles, with a mediocre, gun shy passer behind center that their OC has to plan around.

This O-line has its ride or die supporters here, but guy like Brown and McGovern and Torrence, Van Dermark and Sedrick VPG are just warm bodies looking to get Josh killed.  Dawkins is really good sometimes or he sucks, like last night.

Good thing I fell asleep. I am just not motivated to watch this team as much as I usually am this year. I am not feeling it and I wanted McDermott gone a couple years ago, but now I'm also starting to feel that way about Beane.

I get that this play wouldnt have mattered, but in the moment, why doesn't Josh throw this to Knox? I mean he's wide open for an easy first and possibly scores? Again it wouldn't have mattered but still...I feel like this has been happening ALOT this year where Josh isnt seeing open stuff.

I think his hand was hurt. But he could've obviously missed the open guy here.

A great game of football. I can handle losing those ones. Two good teams going at each other

small margins.

You thought that was a great game of football?

It was never as close as the score was. We got completely dominated. And you realize Davis Mills is a backup quarterback right?

I only woke up to see the highlights - of which there seemed to be many. Plus lead changing all the time

Missed the domination aspect completely.

And as much as it would be fun to play in  league with no other teams in it, that was a mean defence. I can admire that.

He's being punished for playing well and a scoring against Tampa.  He needs to learn how to play complimentary football.

Yeah, I’m not trying to say kickoff returns don’t count, but we’re even more out of it without the kick return TD. We had the kickoff return and the long Cook TD run. We were mostly dominated outside of those plays.

The defensive series at the end of the 1st half was one of the most pathetic displays of football I've ever seen. That's a game changing drive.

The Joe Brady running a clearly gassed James Cook for a 4th straight time on 4th and 1 when you have JOSH ALLEN was one of his dumbest decisions of the year and that includes calling an end around to Dawson effing Knox

Leaving a clearly hobbled Spencer Brown in the game not only put him at risk but also put Josh at risk and hurt the team

And at the end of the day Josh has nobody to throw to when he has a clean pocket and last night he was pressured almost 30 times

There is zero creativity on either side of the ball. Hell our defense only got better when our recently extended MLB got hurt

Finally 2 TNF games in a season is NFL malpractice

The head coach saw how you need to play last week and he doesn't want to change because the head coach is a coward

Wait let me add one more.

I'm very over Dion Dawkins. He gets an incredible amount of hype and I'm convinced a lot of it is due to his personality.

He (and Brown) were awful last night. But Dawkins was giving up on plays. 4 days after he criticized Keon. And then his false start on 4th and 1 was high school level play and honestly he looked like he didn't care in the moment. And then he's seen on TV laughing post game on the field. And then finally, Josh says post-game the Texans were more physical and wanted it more and then minutes later Dawkins says that's not true and had Gabe gotten his foot in, we win.

Dion Dawkins is a great Bill but I think his play last night was criminal and his lack of accountability was not only shameful but also hypocritical
