Kelly to Allen Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago 2 minutes ago, Beck Water said: It's not the (now proven) report that he would be inactive again tonight that I question. I agree, there are a lot of people who might have that info and share it. It's all the stuff about how "The Bills think Keon Coleman “has not grown as a person” His reaction to being a scratch VS The Bucs was not take over well, and he apparently believed “it was just one meeting, what’s the big deal.” The Bills obviously did not like that. This is all per an NFL Credentialed source I will not name." First of all WTF is an "NFL Credentialed Source"? A team credentialed member of the press? It doesn't say a Bills coach or staff member or player. So how do they know what the Bills think? Dion and McDermott have gone on record saying that he got the message and understood it couldn't happen going forward. Coleman has said he understands it can't keep happening. Now it's possible that's all Smoke and Mirrors. Or it's possible that this @Billsreport account is taking what's factual (Coleman benched again) and fluffing it up. Me, I think it was an abnormal week with walkthroughs and light (if any) practices, and part of what the Bills likely want to see is what kind of effort Coleman puts out during a normal week of practice. They want to see him walk the walk, not just talk the talk. How do you know he's not taking it too well? I personally don't think Coleman is inactive again because he was allegedly late to meetings. I think he's incompetent as a wr and overwhelmed with the nuances of the position. This is my speculation Quote
stevewin Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago FWIW on Amazon pre-show they said he was not late for anything this week 1 Quote

Coleman acknowledges it, team acknowledges it (seems to be some question about late vs so late, the meeting was over before he arrived) I doubted he'd get out of the doghouse without a full week of high-effort practice. As for your opinion, my own eyeballs can see he was half-assing routes and he doesn't seem to be very QB friendly when Allen breaks the pocket. Why that is, can't tell you - absent inside info, your guess is as good as another. I do think if Davis and Shavers have a good game, Coleman is going to find himself playing "left bench" for a while. 4 Quote

They can’t afford to have it be an issue once again two off-seasons from now. I don’t have a problem with this if he has zero awareness and continues his poor trajectory. You have a good point. I guess i may have wrongly assumed he would show some signs of heading in the right direction.. Time will tell. 1 Quote
SCBills Posted 52 minutes ago Posted 52 minutes ago After the offense reverted back to a clownshow, do we activate Keon? Does it even matter with Joe “Mesh Routes Til I Die” Brady at OC? Quote

There was a 1st half play when the Bills were backed up against their own end zone and Allen connected with a 22 yard pass to Davis on 2nd & 10 at the 5. On that play, Allen threw the ball BEFORE Davis had stopped and turned back to make the catch. It was a nice throw and routine play by the WR who drove the single coverage guy back with an aggressive push downfield before coming back to the ball. It was clear to me that Allen would not have trusted Coleman to make the read that Davis did, to push hard downfield and then stop and come back to the ball. This is why Coleman is not on the field. 1 Quote

Completely agree on that one play. And I don’t advocate him taking snaps from Davis. Gabe almost mossed Stingley in a huge moment of his foot comes in a foot more inside. Shavers had a great game by our standards last week. Nothing this week. Can JA salvage the back shoulder throw with Keon? They throw it because it’s a chunk play against pressure instead of constant tunnel screens. 1 Quote

But IMO there are a lot of WR #1 or 2's that drag that left foot in bounds putting the team at the Houston 3 yard line. Over the course of this season I can't think of one remarkable catch being made by any Bills receiver. Shakir has a couple of great YAC efforts but the amazing toe tap a the sideline or a guy laying out for a pass? Not so much. Actually the best catch by a Bills WR this season was last week when Samuel let a perfectly thrown ball bounce off his chest and he caught the rebound dragging his feet just inside the field of play.
