T.E. Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Pokémon has such a ravenous collector base, so there’s a lot more transactions in that space. The popularity is unrivaled. It’s incredible what’s going on with Pokémon right now,” said CardVault co-founder Chris Costa, adding that Pokémon cards can sell for up to $1,000. Imagine explaining this to someone in like 1995. thenorthremembers Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I've collected sports cards on and off for around 30 years. There are a lot of great people in the hobby. There are also a lot of grifters trying to make a fortune on cardboard. If these guys stole 70k in cards they likely stole cards that will be easily tracked. Brady also has tons of insurance. He doesnt need help. Quote

Imagine explaining this to someone in like 1995. There was a kid I went to college with who was sitting on thousands of cards in the hope they’d be a collectors item one day. Turns out he was right. Though I doubt he’s hurting for cash lol last I heard he was a trading engineer for ICM Financial… Crazier is the price of those card packs. The majority hold little chance of a quality card but sel for tens of thousands. I remember reading a story about a guy who found a 20 year old pack under a shelf in target. Bet he got a pretty sum! 1 Quote

What's crazy is the company that prints these has employees stealing them left and right and selling them on the black market Edited 41 minutes ago by boyst 1 1 Quote
