  1. 1. Which scenario do you prefer?

    • 1 seed w/Chiefs & Ravens in as division champs
    • 5 seed w/Chiefs & Ravens out of playoffs

No one said that this is what’s likely. It just said the betting favorites (which is inarguably a fact). DraftKings has Baltimore at -145 & Pittsburgh +135 & Denver at +110 & KC +145 (so not favorites).

This is a hypothetical. That’s what we do here It was never intended to be “will this or won’t this happen.” HYPOTHETICALLY, “which is a better path.” The board is pretty much split right down the middle. Both sides are perfectly reasonable. No one is suggesting that either scenario would happen. Put that aside and what’s the best option for the Bills to get where they need to be?

It is, and always been, the 1 seed.  It’s statistically and mathematically the best choice.

2 games at home vs 3 games on the road is not comparable.  Some of you talk like KC and Balt are some uncontrollable force when neither team is as good as last years versions, we already beat them both this year including the biggest beat down we have put on KC yet last week.

But hey to each their own.

The two teams that worry me are the ravens and the chiefs so I’d take the 5 seed and then give the pats a beat down in their own house in the AFCCG

or, better yet, the Chargers in OUR house!

Baltimore, ok, we’ve beaten them in the playoffs - even though we did so playing scared last year.

KC, comical to keep referencing regular season success.  Clearly that doesn’t matter.

To your first point, the Bills have no excuse to not get the 1 seed.  If they can’t get it due to New England, Denver or Indy, shame on them.  We’re tied for the lead in the AFC in the loss column with a game remaining in NE and only 1 AFC loss.  Beane made no moves at the deadline.  He better have been right in holding firm.

The one seed not only helps us stay healthy.. a team constantly dealing with that issue and past two years has been down entire units on defense against KC, but also potentially avoids having to play both KC and Baltimore (assuming both make it) and especially avoids having to go to Baltimore or host KC in the WC should things shake out that way.
