How dare you! Don't you know that mcdermott has a winning record?! Don't ever go through all the box scores! So what if he's only .500 against winning teams!! Its not like the bills ever had a top 5 athlete on the field playing the most important position. Are you ignoring the fact that we ignore his side of the ball every draft?!

 

Unfortunately the bills wasted a once in a generational talent at the most important position.  It would take 2/3 years to rebuild around josh with the cap the way it is. Majority of your o line will be gone/retired.

The Rams aren't trading their Super Bowl winning Head Coach that may be the best Offensive Coach in Football. If there is a "right price" that they couldn't turn down, it would be so prohibitive on the team building level as to cancel out what he would bring us.

That’s exactly what Beane should say, it’s called political correctness.  In reality, if a team offered its first and second round picks for the next 20 years plus…I assume Beane would strongly consider it.  Again, McVay is only under contract for one more season.  He might want to get out of LA rather than go through a rebuild.

At the very least, multiple options may soften the market and reduce some leverage for the sellers.  🤷‍♂️

Jags may not want to send BTJ to a conference rival to play with prime Josh Allen - so in that case, I am ok with over paying to get him here, he would be that great of an add IMHO.  Size, speed, length, youth, and 3 1/2 years left on a rookie deal.  That is the move to make, and again, being in the same conference will likely mean we have to be aggressive on our offer.  If others are offering a 2, we better offer a 1st kind of thing.  If others offering a 1st, we better offer more.

Honestly I’m not sure.  I get fed up with McD as much as anyone, but weve had a massively un-talented roster the last few years and we are basically 1-2 plays (each year) from being the best team in the AFC.

Meyers is good but not a field stretcher, which is the skill set our receiver room requires. Shaheed or BTJ. The message Meyers sends is a commitment to the existing offensive scheme/philosophy where everything is underneath and in front of the D. As the great Ed Reed has said, it's a lot easier to run forwards than peddle back.
