Lfod Posted Friday at 11:24 PM Posted Friday at 11:24 PM (edited) I imagine it would be more nuanced than just a yes or no answer that i don't have but let me speculate. Rookie Josh Allen flashes but far from the best of what Josh Allen would show. Under Daboll Josh flourishes. With Dorsey it felt like a run it back plan until it didn't work because people adjusted and clearly Dorsey did not have answers. With Brady it felt like they unlocked cook and the running game so he technically earned that spot. The only unknown is after a bad stretch does he have an answer? My guess. They find what works and ride it till its a dead horse and then ride it more. If I was McDermott my line would have always been open to anyone with credentials to sell me on how brilliant of an OC they can be with a star QB. Edited Friday at 11:28 PM by Lfod Quote

The Bills offensive coaching staff consists of roughly 10 guys. The roster has 20-some offensive players. I'd like to see the Bills develop a collective IQ that matches the 49ers, Chiefs, or Rams. Solicit the players for input (some of them are smart and observant) and collect the best offensive football minds you can find. Right now, our passing game specialist is Marc Lubick. I know little about the guy, but I wonder if we can upgrade him. Or complement him with another young passing game sensei or maybe an Assistant OC who excels at Xs and Os. Whatever the case, Brady needs to build a team of smart offensive coaches who collaboratively scheme and problem-solve at such a high level that no opponent can stop our Superman-driven offense. So, yes, I agree the main problem of our offense is Beane, not Brady, but I still want more from Brady. The last two weeks of offensive turds isn't all on Brandon. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Brady didn't make much lemonade in the Pats and Falcons games. I feel like life gave Brady the best lemon (Josh) and Brady/McD want make the best orange juice they can with Cook. They have the MVP and they choose to focus the team around the running back and defense. Quote

That shows what a real coordinator can do. If Brady was coorinator, Rams win imo Wasn't "MATT Jones" the Arkansas WR/QB who "blew" his career (as a WR) on nose beers? Quote
Pete Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago Christian McCaffery has 53 receptions. James Cook has 12 receptions. It’s a copycat league. If you can’t figure out how to game plan throws to James Cook on your own Brady- start copying San Fran’s excellent coordinator’s game plan. Mac Jones threw for 343 yards and beat the Rams with no Aiyuk, no Kittell, no Pearsal- start taking notes Brady. That’s how you win with backups. We knew here at TBD that the Falcons blitzed more than any other team. Joe Brady’s gameplan had no plan to counter the blitz. It was like he designed some stupefied game-plan, and would not waver from it. He never made adjustments. And Josh continued to take a beating. McD said “no more cute plays. Fundamentals.” Bills Reporter asked Brady about his “cute plays”. Brady “define cute” Bills Reporter “your coach said it” 😂 imo Brady was disobedient and ran same stupid “cute” jet sweep on 3rd and short- with same result- lost yardage and fumble. Run the ball, and you will have 4th and short most likely if you don’t make it. The definition of insanity is doing same thing multiple times and expecting different results hashtag #️⃣ Joe Brady, stupid, crazy, disobedient Edited 2 hours ago by Pete Quote

TheFunPolice Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago No. This is McDermott's preferred approach. Safe and steady. Limit mistakes. Low event football. Yes, sometimes (13 seconds, opener this year) that has to go out the window, but we have one of the best QBs in the league and won't lean into it. Quote
stlbills13 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I feel like we go into games with a plan and don't deviate until it's too late. Both sides of the ball. Brady is best when he can script an entire drive (1st drive of game/2nd half). He's struggling more this year when being put on the spot. For all of the lack of pass catching talent, our offensive play calling has been extremely poor Quote
zow2 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I’d like to see one game this year when the coaching makes adjustments and dominates the opponent. Let’s see it this weekend. I’d give them the last 5 mins of the Ravens game but that was mostly Josh making plays and a great forced fumble. Quote
