The idiot receiver Thrash could have run out of bounds to set the Browns up for a FG attempt but he turned upfield instead and was tackled. The clock runs out. Game over.

And the botched attempt at downing the punt earlier in the 4th...

The Browns pissing away an upset opportunity by failing to understand the fundamental concepts of the game.

They were down 4 and needed a TD. Not throwing the hail mary again was the mistake.

Cleveland has a bright future with that defense and those young players.  Get a good QB and they will be a handful.

Ah, for some reason I thought they were down 3.

Never mind...

Murray yes size is an issue. But It’s more leadership and body language and perceived arrogance. Just doesn’t seem accountable.

Agree that’s the case now. I don’t remember if it was a known concern when he came out though. Can’t imagine it was or taking him #1 overall was an even worse mistake than I thought.

Funny thing is, they just drafted 2 QBs.

I'll be interested to see how the QB drama plays out... how long they give Gabriel, how well he does, and if he stumbles, at what point they give Sanders an opportunity.

The play call must have been for him to get out of bounds quickly.

Had he done so instead of turning upfield, they would certainly have had one more play from the 30 yard line.

I do not see either as the answer to the problem.  Keep trying until you hit on a QB.  Bailing on Mayfield was a big mistake.

What will get lost in the excitement is that Gabriel had some ugly 3rd down Incompletions and throwaways. And don’t look for any big leaps in his play. He played big time college football for like 10 seasons and got some of the best coaching. Like Bo Nix, he kind of is who he is.

And yes, the Browns might be a QB away. Too bad for them that is one of the worst places to be.

I don't think Mayfield would have developed the way he has at the Browns. He had to get away from Cleveland for his own sake.

Who do we want to win between the Texans and Ravens? Beyond personal dislike.

He was pretty good in Cleveland. He even won a playoff game against the hated Steelers. Then he tore his labrum in his non-throwing shoulder. That makes every throw painful. He gutted it out, and the Browns rewarded him by trading for Watson.

I'm still yanked that Daboll didn't play him against the Chiefs.

It's early days, and he could regress slightly as the amount of tape grows, but he definitely has promise.
