having said that, Schoen and Beane are pretty tight so I imagine they just create a front office job for him if he wanted to be back.

Yeah that was my thinking. I think he ends up back here in some capacity. And gray probably gets a bigger job soon anyways

We spent almost a week driving around WNY recently, and I never once put on WGR radio. I’m not sure if it was because I didn’t want to hear it, or if I was a little curious but wouldn’t do it because I was afraid my wife would think less of all of us.

I can see why they are pissed on these shows. Jets and Giants are 0-6 and season is already over and the Mets are doing a collapse of epic proportions and might miss the playoffs.

There was a time when NYC sports radio was light years ahead of Buffalo's. NYC had the "gold standard" with Mike and the Mad Dog and Buf had...Chuck Dickerson. 

 

Today, its the complete opposite. WFAN is complete dreck hot take shock jock nonsense 24/7, while WGR's content is really really good. You may not love all the hosts on GR or the homerism of "One Bills Live" but there is no question the programming is detailed, in-depth, sober and well-presented.
