RichRiderBills Posted September 19 Posted September 19 (edited) I'm really not a fan of the new kickoff. Yes, both teams get a crack at it but it is going to affect the score of games. I just think it is an artificial and new modifier that will potentially change the course of the season. It's too radical. It's too drastic. There are too many one-score games in this league. For it not to be cataclysmic. And mostly by that I mean by touchbacks giving them at the 35. I don't think this was a great evolution to this new kickoff. I'd turn it back to the 25. frostbitmic Posted September 19 Posted September 19 The new kickoff sucks, bring back real kickoffs with onside kicks whenever you choose, without revealing your intentions. Before long they'll give them the ball at mid field if you kick it thru the end zone, they've already taken it halfway there. 1 Quote
zow2 Posted September 25 Posted September 25 The new kickoff rules are working and there's a real strategy to it. The Rams kickoff strategy vs Philadelphia last weekend has been making the rounds. They kicked knuckleballs to the Eagles returners which totally messed them up. Based on these stats through 3 games, the Bills have something that they can definitely improve upon. 1 Quote
Mikie2times Posted September 25 Posted September 25 If you kick the ball a couple centimeters above the midline, it will truly knuckle. That is what the Rams did to the Eagles last week and they could barely cross the 15. Quote

Warriorspikes51 Posted September 25 Posted September 25 I actually have no issues with it...although I think touchback at the 30 instead of 35 would be more sensible Quote
