The larger picture:

- WTF are we doing with cannabis. It is readily available - in a store - where most people live. Yet it remains federally controlled. Neither party is willing to get ahead of the issue and just federally legalize/regulate it. This system is absurd.

- Growing lettuce, tomatoes, artichokes, cannabis in the USA depends on cheap labor. Cheap labor means immigrants. WTF are we doing in America where we both encourage and discourage immigrant labor. Neither party is willing to face reality.

Broken government. Umm, yeah.

our govt is broken is so many ways

Well yeah, at the federal level, but California issues cultivation licenses. I don’t think the Feds can outmuscle the states on this matter. I could be wrong, though. I’m only really familiar with the disaster that is NYSOCM.

It’s a bad look to be sure. But when Tom Scott is openly saying he’s going to give agents the green light to spill protestors’ blood, people are only going to double down.

Is there evidence they were “trafficked” or were they simply unaccompanied, as the news has reported?

The raid on the farm was also horribly planned and executed. Sloppy.

Feds can out muscle the states when it comes to regulation of schedule I controlled substances.

We can definitely agree that NYSOCM is an unmitigated disaster, especially for the small business trying to make their way through the red tape and burecratic nightmare.

Hey Gavin.

Between him and Hochul it's a close race to who is the worst Gov in the country.

"freed" = "deported to adject poverty"

Because he loves the little children.

Look, I'm not saying they shouldn't have raided this pot operation. Looks fine to me (although I'm not sure of the tactics.)

But let's not pretend this is about helping the teenage illegal workers ...

As predicted.

So you tell me ... we found illegal teenage workers.

What should we do with them?

Give them permanent residence? Citizenship? Foster homes and the right to attend school in America for as long as it takes to develop their potential?

Or should we SEND 'EM BACK to a country with no education for those over 12 or 13 years old and no functioning economy.

I suspect you think we should do the latter. Because, well, we love them.

Yeah, word on the street is a lot of the original OCM staffers were poached to work as consultants for cannabis companies and it’s left the office badly understaffed.

It’s not the end of the world, but as a man, would you respect another man who sits across from you like this?

Trump is the least masculine president of my lifetime. He wears heels, a face covered with makeup and spends hours obsessing over his fake hair each morning. MAGA thinks he is some marvel of Superman strength but he is just a fat old guy wearing diapers with a lot of money who tries to project a tough guy, macho, mob boss image.

A bit further left than I’d prefer but I don’t give a crap how he sits in a chair. Probably not electable to national office, but who knows? Politics in this country seems to swing wildly…with each presidential election, people choosing the opposite of the last guy.
