Draconator Posted Wednesday at 09:10 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:10 PM We played a larger venue, and it was pretty well packed. One group was from the WNY Widow and Widowers group. They had a lot of people dance to a lot of our songs. One woman, Sharon, was celebrating her 82nd birthday. She was dancing to a lot of our songs. She went up to my wife, and told her it was the first time she danced in 10 years, since her husband passed. She said she just didn't want to dance, but after hearing us, she could not not dance to us. I feel very fortunate to be in this band. 10 9 1 Quote
US Egg Posted yesterday at 02:54 AM Posted yesterday at 02:54 AM That through your music you can bring joy to others, as well as to yourself, absolutely should make you feel good. Not a whole lot know that kind of feeling. I don’t think Albert Morris was singing about that kind though. (have to be a Gong Show fan to get it) 2 1 Quote

Summer of ‘77 Led Zeppelin Buffalo show. The only band that mattered to me. Finally going to see them. Ticket in hand. A good time guaranteed. It wasn’t to be. Tragedy struck Robert Plant, his son died two weeks before the show. We all think we know bad times…..anyways. Hope you like this Drac: 1 Quote
Draconator Posted 19 hours ago Author Posted 19 hours ago Had never heard this version before. Love how it sounds tuned down. Thanks for this! 1 Quote

My first band gig of all time was a roadie for a touring bar band. They played this song and it always got a good reaction. Oh to be 19 again. 1 Quote

I had a Connie doin’ her act, and a college buddy who tried to buy me 19 shots of Wild Turkey for my 19th Birthday. Drinking age (other than 3.2% beer) was 21, but for some reason after that night I was 21 everywhere I went. I guess I acquitted myself fairly well? Don’t blow chunks indoors and you’re alright! 🤷♂️ We did not achieve the goal of 19 shots, but I’m still here and that’s a minor miracle. 1 Quote

I for like 15 years held the record for the fastest tear down of a full band, instruments, sound, and full light show, at Sunset Bay Beach Club. The 1000 mg Magnum speed pills I took helped quite a bit. Quote
