I like the liberalism within that church. Could've gone Episcopalian here but she could see I'm fully indoctrinated. I have Jewish friends who feel the same way: It's part of their identity. She's quite pragmatic. She doesn't feel the team you choose much matters. It's that you choose one and follow it., The important stuff is all the same. Love one another. I enjoy the intellectual aspects and just disagree with you once again. No problem, but we all must come to our own conclusions, especially when it regards something as serious as this. I have no problem with the Catholic Church. I simply don't believe their theological interpretation. For me it's quite simple. I don't know that every square meter of earth was covered by water during the flood. I don't know that Jonah spent a few days in a fish. What I am convinced of is that Jesus existed, was crucified and rose from the dead. To me, based on evidence, this is indisputable. The many forks in the road one chooses after that s up to them. 1

Now, I'm not so sure. https://biblicalpathway.com/what-does-the-bible-say-the-antichrist-will-look-like/

I am never going to get into Revelations, nor ever attend any Bible study that does. It's just too weird. But....Regarding the Anti Christ, the individual is going to be far more impressive than anything we've ever seen.

Wacka Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Again, the AI generated memes are mocking the libs not the pope. The idiot "journalist" asked him who he would want as pope. What kind of stupid question is that? First, he isn't Catholic, second 99.99999999% of Catholics have no idea either. She asked a stupid question, he gave a funny answer, someone on created a meme for it, and the left predictably go ape sh**. You got owned again. 1

Im so glad the president is wasting his time trying to “own the libs.” Very mature of him.

Andy1 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago This is quite an interesting thread with the discussion on theology and history of the churches practices, etc. Sounds like most of us, myself included, have a Catholic background regardless of which side of the political spectrum we are on. We all may be looking at each other in the church pews. I just hope the Cardinals choose someone who can continue to speak truth to politicians and be a voice for peace, democracy and advocate for the poor, homeless and disadvantaged across the globe. Carry on chaps…
