OK, I'm an old guy. Not that old, but with old guy consumer habits. I know what shoe brands/styles I like. So I know the size/brand and check out Amazon (which owns Zappos). Sometimes I'll try things on in a Nordstrom Rack type store where you don't need someone to fetch the box, see what I like/fits, then go home and Google it to find it cheaper.

 

True athletic shoes (think hiking boots)? I still have to get those in person. Fit is too important.

It’s another moment for the legacy media to debase and humiliate themselves, providing another window for more Americans to flock to alternate information ecosystems. When you boil down why the press is so mad, it’s simple: Trump is doing the opposite of what Biden would have done.

 

It's almost comical. DEI initiatives are toast across federal agencies, the southern border is secure, illegal aliens are being deported, and businesses are investing here. American manufacturing is being rebuilt:

I have no opinion either way currently on the trade war situation, but I have to give him credit for taking the risk.

 

The fact he still polls better than Democrats and, according to some polls, is still above water at +2 while taking on the most aggressive tariff/trade policy we’ve seen in modern history at massive risk to how his second term is viewed takes some guts.

 

We all know we have to face off with China at some point, but nobody wants to be the one to do it, because we have elections every 2 years and Xi can ride it out..

 

As far as the sweeping tariff policy, more broadly, again.. we have elections every two years.. he knows he has to get movement on this before the ramp up to the midterms.

 

If any President wants to make real change, they better do it in their first year.. a blessing and curse to our electoral process.

And I do think it’s a reasonable theory that Donald Trump is not unlike the spouse of someone who leaves him, perhaps for another, who then murders their former partner because if they can’t have her, nobody can.
