I think they nailed it, there is a problem between Beane and McDermott.

A marriage that has run its course after 9 years.

The problem is that basically every scouting report said Coleman was exactly what we're seeing he is, but somehow this front office decided they weren't going to go with conventional wisdom and try to prove everybody wrong.

Ladd was the better fit before the draft and he's still the better fit after the draft.

This is endemic to the entire team:  Playoffs? We’ll play our soft zone, no matter who we’re playing or what they’re doing. Crappy Miami team daring us to throw? Double down on committing to the run. Crappy Atlanta team blitzing the daylights out of us? Double down on passing the ball.

It’s EVERYWHERE in this organization.

a shake up is needed and it’s Beane who has to go.  Bring in a GM who can set a tone for the entire team.

Bring in Mike Ditka and trade all of picks for Ricky Williams cuz yeah we're just one WR away from being the best team in the league.

The rumor that Beane was "not allowed" to move meaningful assets at the deadline sort of fits if McDermott wants a new GM

IMO Pegula loves McDermott and really likes Beane.

I agree.  I can see a " move in a different direction" this offseason

If I had to pick 1 of McDermott or Beane to stay I would choose McDermott and it's not even close.

And I'm not a huge McDermott fan either

The challenge is that they don't have much wiggle room in the upcoming off season due to the salary cap.   They made the changes last season with the hope to have a team that will be around next 3 seasons.   NOw they are crumbling...and not enough talent around Josh.   All those big contracts are looking bad...except for Cook.

Crumbling is a little strong. Let's see how these next few weeks go.

As for the off season, I could see us use a 1st on a wr or trade for one on their rookie contract or trade to move up to draft one or all of the above. Our cap is tight but there will be options of the talented and cost controlled variety.
