New-ish QB Test - S2 Cognition

This is really interesting - teams seem to have finally figured out a way to better gauge one of the most important qb traits - reading and responding to information quickly (which is obviously one of the most important things a QB must do.)

He couldn’t give out Purdy’s exact score because it’s privileged information but said it was in the “mid 90s.” That’s about where Brees, the former Saints quarterback famous for lightning-fast decision-making, scored and where two of the top passers in the league now, the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and the Bills’ Josh Allen, also landed.

Quote

According to the report, of the consensus top five quarterbacks, Bryce Young scored a 98, Will Levis got a 96, Anthony Richardson received a 79, Hendon Hooker scored a 46 and CJ Stroud totaled an 18.

Bryce Young drafted by Panthers on recommendation of Frank Reich.

Will Levis drafted by Titans to replace Mijami retread.

Anthony Richardson drafted by Colts since retreads have not been working out.

Hendon Hooker drafted by Lions and who has a more appropriate name for LV Raiders.

CJ Stroud drafted by Texans and is speechless (shell shiock?).

Note: S2 Cognition Test is vey similar to test to QBs given by former Bills OC and current Giants HC Coach Daboll to Allen.

From their website:

In the game of inches, milliseconds make the difference between making the play and getting beat. What separates wins and losses are gamers who have an ability to make the right split-second decisions on the field.

“Intangibles” – instincts, anticipation, play recognition, the ability to make clutch plays – are no longer invisible skills.

S2's sports-science evaluates football players’ cognitive abilities in game situations and provides targeted, on-field training exercises – so that they’re ready to come up clutch when the game’s on the line.

Watched an interview of one of the cofounders on Macfee show. The guys seems very odd and this test sounds like rubbish. More nonesense.

Just going with your gut, hmm? Well, they use statistical analysis and have a good track record of results. Discount it if you want because they are "odd", but I think perhaps you should be a little more informed about something before you condemn it.
