The 1983 draft produced 3 HOF QBs: Elway, Kelly, and Marino. Ken O'Brien was also a decent starting QB from that class. The 2004 draft produced 3 QBs very likely to be HOFers: E Manning, Rivers, and Roethlisberger plus a decent starter in Matt Schaub. According to all the draftniks, the 2018 QB class was destined to be "the greatest QB class since at least 2004" with the implication it might be as good as 1983. The reality is that the 2018 QB class has turned out to be, at best, modestly above average as QB drafts go since most drafts produce 1 top starting QB and 1 or 2 other average/decent starting QB (Most draft classes produce only 1 very good starting QB). The 2012 draft was probably the only draft in the past 10 years that comes close to 2004, producing 2 top QBs (Luck and Wilson) and 2 decent starters (Tannehill and Cousins).
