Work ethic has nothing and relationship building and trust of teammates have nothing to do with a QB's success?  Is that what you're saying?

No I am saying being a farmer doesn't automatically make you better at that. Such clichéd nonsense. Tom Brady's dad worked in insurance is that what gave him his great work ethic? Or is it just farming that we are gonna put on the pedestal?

Automatically?  No. But it certainly lends itself to work ethic and there's a reason the cliché exists.

Should we get into a nature vs. nurture argument at this point?  You seem to believe that I think it's ALL nurture, but I don't.  It's a mix of both, obviously.  Brady has a bunch of his work ethic just naturally in him and a bunch of it also from being raised right by his parents.

You don't HAVE to be a farmer in order to have a great work ethic, obviously.  Now you're the one being disingenuous and silly pretending that's what I meant.  But the profession and lifestyle of a farmer (and almost inevitable familial cooperation in the profession) lends itself to instilling a work ethic and strong sense of humility more than most professions.

But I'm not saying ALL farmers have a better work ethic than... say... a professional athlete's son

And I'm not saying ALL professional athletes' kids are more entitled than... say... a farmer.

But you can certainly see the farmer work ethic in Josh Allen and the entitled diva in Patrick Mahomes starting to show up at this point.

Utter claptrap. Just complete and utter nonsense from start to finish.

Wiggling out of this so easily?

The Allen vs. Mahomes debate is gonna continue for their entire careers, thanks in no small part to people like you, who saw Mahomes as great and a team that passed on taking Mahomes the year you did to trade down.

Mahomes is great

Now it's clear Allen is great

I think we got the better end of the deal.  After seeing the way your guy threw some of his teammates under the bus after the SB loss vs. Allen walking literally from teammate to teammate offensively, I would rather have Josh Allen over Patrick Mahomes at this point.  It's starting to look like Mahomes has a bit of a diva in him and that should make you worry a little, despite the fact that he's generationally talented.

Josh Allen, on the other hand, has farming in his background.  My Grandfather was a farmer.  I understand what that instills in you even if it's not in me.

But in the end, you're right: Super Bowls are what matter.

Well... watch out... we just made it to the AFC Championship only to get embarrassed by you.  But QB is the most important position for winning the Super Bowl and Josh Allen has gotten better by leaps and bounds every single year as an NFL starting QB.

2021 and beyond... what dreams may come...

Now I know why I stopped leading this thread.  Thanks for reminding me.

Except it's not... and clearly you just don't have any way to reasonably argue that it is.

How do you argue against a load of assertions with no supporting evidence. You say tomato I say tomato. It could go on all night. You cannot judge work ethic or determination or commitment by the job someone does or the job their parents do. It is just clichéd generalisations.

The "farmer's work ethic" (which is a real thing) is evident in Josh Allen.

The "pro athlete's sense of entitlement" (also a real thing) is starting to show its ugly head in Patrick Mahomes.

Maybe you're right.  Maybe it's just pure coincidence that Josh Allen has that farmer's humility and work ethic and Patrick Mahomes is showing signs of that entitlement.

We're seeing it, nonetheless.

what signs?  Plural right?  Or did make one poor comment that he shouldn’t have made 10 minutes after running for 500 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

while Josh would have never said what Mahomes said, his comments weren’t THAT bad.  Before all else, he put himself at fault. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that his WRs/TE dropped multiple great passes and his entire OL was a big turnstile. I don’t think that is showing signs (multiple) of entitlement.  It shows signs of immaturity and frustration.

No one will remember this in a week, except bills fans that need to compare Allen to Mahomes 24/7

"Josh would have never said what Mahomes said."

That's all you really needed to say.

Did you miss all Mahomes' tweets leading up to the game when they mentioned how his year stacked up vs Allen's? Or how he wanted to hold a 'throw-off' back in the summer because Allen's arm strength rating in Madden was higher than his?

What does that mean?  The only thing that matters is winning Super Bowls.  Literally.

Mahomes has won one.  Josh hasn’t.

you’re diving deep on Mahomes’ character because of one comment he made 10 minutes after getting destroyed in the super bowl, mainly because his OL/WR/TE/RB forgot how to block and catch. You are jumping to irrational conclusions.

Yes, I’m not infatuated with Pat Mahomes.  I dislike the guy and don’t pay attention to anything he does unless his TBD hater groupies post it.  I saw bits an pieces about the throw off.

Please tell me:  what do those comment prove?

That he’s got thinner skin than a grape. Which is in some (possibly a majority) cases symptomatic of the entitlement you claim doesn’t exist.

I don't think we are seeing any entitlement in Mahomes. He was clumsy after the Superbowl but he wasn't entitled. He started his answer by criticising himself.

Josh has incredible work ethic. It has nothing to do with his family being farmers.... or at least it isn't indicative of anything wider.

Lol....please.  Where did I say it didn’t exist?

I said that the examples that you guys are using doesn’t exactly paint the picture you’re telling.

I don’t venture onto the Twitterverse very often.  Is “Pat Mahomes is an entitled brat” trending or something?  Because the examples used on this website don’t back up that thought imo.   Mahomes thinks he has the strongest arm in the world.  Madden gives allen a higher rating.  Mahomes challenges him.  Mahomes is obviously entitled.  Mahomes thinks he had a better year than allen and talked about it. He’s entitled.

The whole conversation about him just sounds so spiteful and pathetic.  Especially when it’s centered on the guy that whooped our butts 2 times and ended our season.

It’s weird. I think most people are saying Allen is a top 5 qb yet that isn’t good enough for some. They need to tear down any rival! Crazy thought: Allen, Watson, Mahomes, Rodgers, Brady are all really, really good qbs!

He was talking about what Mahomes said after the SB.  that was one incident and it was a plural comment.

That is the only thing that he has done (imo) to maybe warrant him being entitled (and that’s a stretch).  I don’t considering him challenging Allen to a throw off to be a sign of entitlement.  I don’t think his statements about Josh and their season is either.  That’s why I asked what signs, because I don’t see your “examples” of entitlement to be what you claim.

I think that you’re angry and hate Pat Mahomes so much that you have to find something to cry and moan about.  This is what you came up with.

continue hating.  ✌️

Yeah man.  It’s really weird.  I know I shouldn’t waste my time commenting on it anymore.  Have at it, it’s tiresome and sad.
