Do you think someone making $125k and living in LA or NY is above average?

Don’t worry Jim - I won’t have any sympathy for you when your cult takes away your social security the second they have power.

$125k in LA is plenty of money.  I should know.

How much is the monthly payment on a $10k student loan?

You know what is funny? Watching my conservative friends back in the BUF all excited about the $10K relief and now they are pissed that MAGA is getting in the way of their $10K and all I can do is laugh in their face at their hypocrisy.

The average federal student loan debt balance is $37,787 while the total average balance (including private loan debt) may be as high as $40,780.

Just remember - the socialist Trump program lost over $100,000,000,000.

Keep whining Jim. Go vote against your interest - it’s cute

Oh and Jim - you would know what it’s like to live on $125k with $40K student loan debt and pay rent in LA?

The average cost of rent is $2700 in LA.

Can’t wait to hear how pissed you are when your SS is wiped out for those ridiculous tax cuts for the rich.

No one is forcing them to live in LA. People move to less expensive areas all the time.

And the monthly payment on a $10k loan is ABSOLUTELY relevant. Now….answer the question.

I do not care.

Just make sure you give even a LARGER tax cut to the rich as soon as humanly possible.

I will answer on behalf of BillSy.

::deep breath::

“While interest rates, loan terms and market conditions vary, the monthly payment on a $10,000 student loan is approximately $11,311.

While extrapolating an $11,311 monthly payment to an annual obligation is almost impossible, application of the lattice method calculation puts the total annual payment in excess of a lot of money.

As you can clearly see, the average individual in Los Angeles making $125,000 simply cannot afford to pay in excess of a lot of money, and the thruway traffic is a bear.”’

Ok then let’s do this.  It’s about $100 a month.  Do you feel this is considered “struggling” to someone making $125k a year?

This has nothing to do with tax cuts for the rich or SS so you can quit bringing those up ok.

There is no Thru about them. So glad I don’t have to commute anymore.

Are you kidding me?

Your corrupt party stole billions and billions of our tax dollars and you’re crying about giving a $10k loan forgiveness to average Americans?

Millionaires for billionaires love all that you do Jim

Now - when you lose your SS - I hope you don’t have to commute too far to your job greeting Walmart shoppers.

Enjoy

If I lose my SS (which I won’t) I’ll be absolutely fine.  See I’m a planner.

And BTW I don’t have a “party”.

I may be missing something but where in that letter does it reference anything about voting?  🤷🏻‍♂️

Not even democrats are dumb enough to explicitly state vote for us and we'll forgive your debt. But that's exactly what's going on.

You know what I really hate?  When people respond with a 🙄.  Educate me @B-Man What did I miss.  I’m all about being educated.  Educate me!

You do not need educating.

I answered with an eye roll, because you ask the question when you know the answer.

Guess what Jim, no they didn't put "we bought your vote" in the government announcement, you sure got Billsfan in NC there.

Except the belief that student loan forgiveness was a way of obtaining the support, and votes, is certainly the majority opinion across America.

Look, I know that you like to repeatedly "ask questions" to force other posters to confront their inconsistencies. . . . . . .  that's fine, you be you.

However when you ask something so obvious, you shouldn't be surprised when you get   🙄.

So the letter didn’t have anything to do with voting.  Got it. You guys sure see a lot of boogie men when there are none.  Don’t get me wrong the student loan thing was all about buying votes. That letter was not.

Of course that’s what’s going on. I was one of the first one on that beach. But that letter was not about getting out the vote. Can you and @B-Man at least sort of, maybe, kind of, admit that.  😁
