Rodney Davis (R-Ill)says Democrats aren’t planning to allow the public to resume visiting Capitol Hill before the November election. Davis says that ought to happen today. Also staff. And, most importantly, all representatives to be physically present in the House chamber when voting. Davis is the ranking Republican on the House Administration Committee, which oversees the daily operations of the lower chamber and has oversight of federal elections. 1

Briggs and Stratton which is the largest small engine manufacturer in the US has declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy this week.

The SCOTUS voted 5-4 to reject a Nevada church’s plea to suspend the state’s public health order limiting attendance at services: The basic dispute revolved around this: Nevada has placed a 50-person cap on all places of worship, no matter the capacity of the building, as a part of the state’s coronavirus restrictions. But casinos, along with other businesses such as restaurants and movie theaters, may permit up to 50 percent capacity, allowing casinos to grant access to hundreds of patrons at a time. Roberts is getting plenty of attention for how he sided, but so is Justice Neil Gorsuch’s dissent. Gorsuch does a nice job here of putting into words what so many have been thinking these past few months: 2
Buffalo_Gal Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 They should have had "***** the police" signs, riot gear, Molotov cocktails, and called it a "protest." Then they could congregate and stay open. I'm not sure how a business owner could vote for a Democratic again. They allow rioters and looters free rein, and arrest small business owners trying to earn a living. 4
