Clowney considering options including a "prove it" short term deal

Recommended Posts

Seems like the type of guy who needs the right locker room to get the most out of him.  Needs a Ray Lewis to challenge him to play hard every snap.  I get why nobody wants to give him a long term deal.

Ain't nobody remotely close to taking the mantle from Bruce (and Reggie White for that matter) in this entire generation of football players. It's crazy how all-time good he was and how unique. Clowney is meh.

How did Clowney sneak his way to the front page again?

Must have a good agent

No, just a couple good plays and then nothing.

I wonder if those who complain about our over paid defense line would be happy with Clown-ey.  Yeah I know cut Trent Murphy who has more sacks

The Tennessee Titans are placing one of their highest-paid players on injured reserve, as the team announced on Saturday that pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney would be placed on IR due to a knee injury. Clowney will be forced to miss the next three weeks, but could be out longer. In eight games so far this season, the former No. 1 overall pick has recorded 19 combined tackles, one forced fumble and six quarterback hits -- but no sacks.

Clowney spent months on the open market before signing a monster, $12 million deal with the Titans that reportedly had a max value of $15 million.

Fantasy GM is most popular game on this site.

Clown-ey has an attitude problem and takes a lot of plays off.

This time off however (if he recovers) is probably better for Titans in playoffs.

a "monster" 12 million contract? Showed his true worth for the plays he's made (thus far) this year. Glad we dont reach anymore!
