Hoax.  Nobody here has said that doctors should prescribe the drug to COVID patients before clinical trials have been completed.

Even assuming, for the sake of argument, that such a statement had been made, the differences between Pepcid and at least one other drug thought, but not proven, to effectively combat COVID are stark.  Pepcid has a long history of safety.  Hydroxychloroquine, for example and by contrast, has very serious side effects that include irregularity of heart rhythm that could lead to death.

Carry on.

Is that what you really meant?

Hoax.  I said what I meant on both of the relevant posts.

You mean you didn't really mean what you posted above? How can anyone trust what you say? I certainly wouldn't ask you to write up a contract for me if you are going to be that sloppy.

Fake news.  This is why you’re on the fake news list.

Weak sauce but nothing new for you.

Your truculence has caused me — forced me, actually — to establish a new list.  More outbursts like that one and I’ll have no choice but to put you on it.

Unless we’re talking about article I and the emoluments clause.  Those have been disregarded for the past couple of years.

Sure. It's perfectly safe. Of course.

Prevacid Side Effects

Prevacid is available in generic form. Side effects of Prevacid include headachenauseadiarrhea, stomach pain, or constipation. Contact your doctor if you experience serious side effects of Prevacid including:

The dose of Prevacid depends on the condition being treated. Lansoprazole capsules should be taken before meals for maximum effect. Capsules should be swallowed whole and should not be crushed, split or chewed. Prevacid may interact with sucralfate, ampicillin, atazanavir, digoxin, iron, ketoconazole, methotrexate, theophylline, blood thinners, or diuretics (water pills). Tell your doctor all medications and supplements you use. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment with Prevacid. Prevacid is not expected to be harmful to a fetus. It is unknown if Prevacid passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding

Our Prevacid Side Effects Drug Center provides a comprehensive view of available drug information on the potential side effects when taking this medication.

This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088.

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Call your doctor at once if you have:

  • severe stomach pain, diarrhea that is watery or bloody;
  • new or unusual pain in your wrist, back, hip, or thigh;
  • a seizure (convulsions);
  • kidney problems--little or no urination, blood in your urine, swelling, rapid weight gain;
  • low magnesium--dizziness, fast or irregular heart rate, tremors (shaking) or jerking muscle movements, feeling jittery, muscle cramps, muscle spasms in your hands and feet, cough or choking feeling; or
  • new or worsening symptoms of lupus--joint pain, and a skin rash on your cheeks or arms that worsens in sunlight.

Taking lansoprazole long-term may cause you to develop stomach growths called fundic gland polyps. Talk with your doctor about this risk.

If you use lansoprazole for longer than 3 years, you could develop a vitamin B-12 deficiency. Talk to your doctor about how to manage this condition if you develop it.

Common side effects may include:

  • nausea, stomach pain;
  • diarrhea, constipation; or
  • headache.

Tell your doctor if you use methotrexate.

Many drugs can affect lansoprazole, and some drugs should not be used at the same time. This includes prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.  Not all possible interactions are listed here. Tell your doctor about all your current medicines and any medicine you start or stop using

Lots of work to prove my point.  Nobody here said the drug should be prescribed.  Carry on.
