I wouldn’t vote for an empty suit.

But Beto has gone by that nickname since he was a kid. Was that all part of his master plan?

I didn't know he went by Beto as a kid.  I stand corrected.

Ha. Wrong again.... Bernie ain't gonna win.

Biden

It's still early and Biden failed miserably twice at previous presidential runs.  Biden is riding Obama's popularity with the Dems and a slight majority of Independents.  My guess is people will coalesce around a younger candidate as Biden's age is showing and he's never been a good campaigner to begin with.

Regardless, it won't be Ernie.

Minus an unforseen recession before the primaries which will lead to an increase in class warfare, probably not.  I think the main reason Trump will get reelected is people won't want to mess with a good economy and will pull the level for Trump even if they don't like him.  Making sure the GOP has an actual health care proposal will also be important.

Even if Bernie did pull off a miracle and win the general, few if any of his policies will make it through anyways.  It will be a two month revolution that slowly dies after two years of Democratic and Republican resistanc.

I agree with all of this.

If Ernie had become president, he would haved faced the same level of resistance from the Media and "Deep State" that Trump faces, though he would probably have buckled pretty early on, unlike Trump.

Solid opinion piece from the WSJ today. Bernie is probably going to win the nomination easily running away, with money, an already-established campaign, and early wins in Iowa, NH, and the newly moved-up CA, and thus be the first major party socialist nominee.

Trump will be woefully overmatched intellectually to combat this in a debate of ideas, which is too bad. But I hope others can take up the mantle in defense of capitalism.

WSJ opinion

This goes well with another piece crushing the government’s role in Tesla’s coming spectacular downfall.

“A report out last month from McKinsey [deep state three-fingered blood cult pizzagate warning]  tellsthe story: These cars cost an average of $12,000 more to produce than they can fetch in the marketplace. The role of regulation in causing this pileup “cannot be overstated,” the report adds, while proposing somewhat desperately that the industry try to save itself by “decontenting” its electric vehicles—that is, getting rid of every unnecessary frill and luxury, such as display screens, fancy seating, power windows or anything else that adds costs to what are essentially compliance vehicles.”

Bernie is trailing Biden pretty badly. So much for easy run to the nomination...

Biden wasn’t running when I posted that, so your reply is timely.

Biden may not have staying power after this initial media blitz.

Bernie isn’t going away and CA remains a huge prize early for the Ds with its early primary.

Democratic voters just realize that a moderate Biden will probably beat Trump while Bernie the socialist will make it close.

If we are a nation that can pay baseball players hundreds of millions of dollars, don't tell me we can't afford to pay teachers the salaries they deserve.

“The Nation” doesn’t pay the baseball players or the teachers, jackass !

Everything that happens in America isn’t done by the “nation.”

That’s kinda how freedom works.
