I listened to the game on the radio..the crowd was nearly silent.

I watched on ESPN+. It's was actually near capacity, but no students because school is still out. I guess older fans are too laid back.

TT is all about Buffalo, great ambassador for the city.  Although he only goes to a handful of games, I'm pretty sure he has season tickets for the Sabres as well.

As for UB....WOW!  That was a statement to the MAC, get ready.  If this team is clicking, they can beat anyone.  Harris is a big key, he has struggled to start the season, nice to see him come up big.

Yeah, Toledo was supposed to be THE team that was going to challenge UB in the MAC. Maybe not so much. Still, 20 more games to go, including the conference tournament. Plenty of chances to have an off night or slip up. And don't forget the wild card of MAC officiating.

That was certainly a "statement" win by UB last night.

I'm not being glib -- will they lose again before the NCAA tourney?  I don't see anyone in the MAC truly challenging them.

Should they?   No.  They are by far the best team in the conference.  Will they?   I think they will.   When they struggle, they really struggle.  They will get some ugly wins, but I think they'll have at least have one bad loss.  Plus everyone will be gunning for them.  I just hope it doesn't come the tournament, I have no faith in the NCAA handing out an at large bid to a MAC team.

I'd agree if they were unranked or had a crappy RPI.  This UB team already has several quality wins and if they only lose one in conference play they'll still be ranked.

I have no doubt they'll be a 5 or 6 seed in the NCAA tourney.

It's been 20 years, if there is a team that can break the drought, it should be this one.  But let's just hope they win the tourney...;)

Dating to 2000, the MAC has had 10 teams finish with an RPI ranking in the top 60 and not receive an at-large bid. Five of those teams were rated no worse than 46 — Kent State was 36th in 2000, Miami was 40th in 2005, Buffalo was 46th in 2005, Toledo was 36th in 2014, and Akron was 34th in 2016.

I'd almost rather they have that bad game/loss before the tournament to get it out of their system. I agree, never trust the Tournament committee for an at-large bid, when they are trying to squeeze in a .500 ACC school.

Although I am not a UB alum(went to SU for undergrad & Canisius for Grad), I do follow them & hope they do well.  I think the committee would have a real tough time keeping out a 3 or 4 loss UB team from an at large.  They have been getting quite a bit of pub from the national pundits & I think they are high enough on the food chain right now where they got the cred to absorb some losses.  With that being said, I think they should roll thru the MAC.  There will be some tricky road games against Toledo/Cent Mich/Akron/Kent but I think they should be okay.  I don't see them losing a home.  Plus making the tournament the past 2 years & making it the weekend last year will go a long way.  UB fans should have a fun time these next 2 months.  Get the right draw & I could see them making it to the second weekend of the tournament & once you get there who knows what could happen.  But your right, never feel comfortable as a mid major leaving your fate in the hands of the committee.

Idk how many pepole seriously thought anybody could beat UB in the MAC this year...

MAC coaches unanimously voted them pre season conference champions

Toledo was supposed to be the closest to them. And they were 12-1 in their OOC schedule.

Meanwhile, this week in the top 25:

#11 Auburn: Loss @ Ole Miss

#13 Florida State: Play #1 Duke on Saturday

#14 Mississippi State: Loss @ South Carolina

#15 NC State: Loss vs. UNC

#16 Ohio State: Loss @ Rutgers

#17 Houston: Loss @ Temple

#20 Iowa State: Loss @ Baylor

If UB takes care of business Saturday, we could be move up a few notches.

Some solid rebounding won this one..very close game,to close for comfort.

15 turnovers?

I couldn't watch this one in real time. I just skipped through the replay on ESPN+. Definitely a tough game from the Broncos. But you have to love the grit UB shows. They never lose their cool, even down 11.  Back to Alumni for another one against EMU. Ought to be another 6K sellout. Game will be on nationally on ESPU at 7pm. #UBHornsUp.

I hope the UB administration sees the value of a nationally ranked program. I mean look at what being in the Top 25 does for name awareness? It's literally puts the University at Buffalo on the map.
