The Real Buffalo Joe
Of course each player's desires are gonna be different. But assuming they wanted to stay in the game, generally speaking, which do you feel would be best? For arguments sake, all compensation is relatively the same. WhoTom
Commentating would be the least stressful - you work fewer hours and there really aren't any repercussions for mistakes. Whether that's the best post-playing career or not depends on the player, but I choose lower stress unless there's a good reason to take the stressful job. JoPar_v2
You can’t generalize this and it’s a waste of time to try

I have seen all the time and prep work Chris Collinsworth puts into his broadcasts, it's probably less than coaches and GMs but it's still 60 hrs a week watching film and conducting interviews on the phone and in person. I'm sure there's a lot of prep time in broadcasting too. But of the three choices, that's the one I'd pick.

smuvtalker
Me personally, I'd take the commentating job without hesitation. I get to talk about the game I love AND get paid to do so. Granted it may not be as much as some of the higher level coaching positions, but it also doesn't include that stress either. I would also pick commentating over a F/O job, because we've all seen what happens to an organization when they continually stink up the joint and post losing record after losing record. Housekeeping within an organization often times includes a clean sweep of personnel from top to bottom, from the GM to the janitor... Give me the cushy commentating job 1000 times out of 1000 times please.
Gugny
Coaching would probably require the least amount of time being invested. But I think commentating would be the best job.
