It is the best city for travelling to and from, so the home team and visiting team will have lots of interest, sellouts every home game. Also sponsorship opportunities from every city that has an NFL team, because eventually every team will play there and Vegas is designed to accept visitors to have fun. It's a no brainer. But the root of the issue is you dont travel to Vegas to watch football. Thats a waste of money in my opinion since football is literally the most boring thing going on in Vegas. Just my opinion. Granted, there will always be a contingent that does, however, i think thatll be the extreme minority. In the long run, any sustained attendance will have to come from the community itself, not tourists. If the Raiders arent doing too hot 3-5 years from now, who in their right mind is going to waste a Sunday in Vegas watching an average football team? The thought of that is blasphemy to me. Its about why people go to Vegas to begin with. And a person doesnt go to Vegas to spend $$$ to sit in a stadium baking in the sun to watch men stand around waiting for the refs to tell them the TV commercial break is done. Fan in San Diego Posted September 16, 2017 Share Posted September 16, 2017 The visiting teams fans will bundle a trip to Vegas for shows, maybe some gambling and see there favorite football team. Flights to Vegas are cheaper than any other city and hotel rooms are plenty and reasonable. Especially cold weather teams, A trip to Vegas in December doesn't sound all that bad. First off, there's a substantial permanent population which, I believe, is equal to Buffalo's metro. Second, Vegas is essentially a suburb of LA these days. Especially for younger people, it's no biggie to jump one of the ton flights and go over for the day or night. Third, I expect Oakland people to make it there in large numbers like they did when the Raiders were in LA. As someone mentioned above, there will be plenty of packages for visiting teams which I think will be very popular. Don't know if they'll all make it to the stadium, but tickets will be sold.
